I picked up this clear tarp to cover my patio space, and I've been really happy with how it turned out. Right out of the package, the material feels heavy-duty and genuinely thick, way better than those flimsy plastic sheets you usually find at the hardware store.What I love most is that it is completely transparent. It keeps the rain and wind completely blocked out, but because it is clear like glass, it doesn't make the space feel dark or closed-in at all. I can still see right through it without any trouble.The edges are well-made with reinforced grommets and a sturdy rope hem running all the way around, which made it super easy to tie down tightly without worrying about it ripping under tension. It held up wonderfully through some heavy wind and downpours.That said, it’s not perfect. It can be a little stiff and stubborn when you first unfold it, especially in cooler temperatures, so it takes a bit of time to get it to relax and lay flat. I also noticed that while most of the grommets are great, a couple showed some minor stretching after being under tension for a while, so you have to be mindful when securing it. You also have to be careful if you're using this to fully enclose a small space in the heat of summer, as it can trap a lot of warmth inside. Overall, though, it's a solid, well-made cover that gets the job done.

I absolutely LOVE this tarp. I just said to my kid, "Oh! The tarp! I can't believe I haven't reviewed the tarp yet!" and he responded, "You haven't reviewed the tarp?! But we used it so much!"I originally got it to cover bicycles, but we took it camping and used it like crazy. First we used it under our "four-person" Coleman tent (those always seem like two-person, don't they?) and it fit almost perfectly. We just tucked the front of it under because you're not supposed to leave any tarp hanging out. (It encourages rain to flow under your tent.)At our next campsite, my kid used it to make a fort of sorts to keep our stuff under during the rainstorm. It was sort of in the area of a vestibule between our tent and a smaller one we had set up to keep miscellaneous items not currently in use.Finally, I used it to cover our camp kitchen drawers since the plastic tablecloth I originally put over them blew in the wind and let water in.The beauty of this tarp, other than being the perfect thickness between not flimsy enough to rip but not so thick as to prevent manipulation, is the grommets, hands down. They're spaced all the way around the tarp so we were able to get precisely and adequately secure the tarp with guylines or bungee cords. A++

This heavyweight tarp is perfect for the greenhouses I build. I find seed-starting works so much better when you can build up heat and humidity to help germination. This tarp is opaque - clear enough to let the sunlight in and let you see the contents inside without opening and letting out humidity.This tarp is thick and strong, resistant to rain and wind. The edges are folded over and heat-sealed, with rope sealed inside along the edges. This thing isn’t tearing under any normal pressure. The grommets are reinforced with rubber and won’t rip or loosen and come off like on a cheap tarp. The included rope is also strong. A good knot will keep this tarp in place through almost any rain and wind conditions short of a hurricane.There’s a good bit of stretch in the tarp and definitely in the rope. I suggest warming it before installing so you can stretch it out good before securing it. I tied it the first time, then came back a few days later and tightened it again after it really warmed up and stretched out.You can use this tarp for lots of things. Double it up for 60% opacity and put it on a section of ground that needs clearing or use it on a greenhouse or animal shelter. The quality is really high for the price.
