This shower head holder feels like a fairly cheap plastic piece, but it actually does its job pretty well. I can still rest the shower head in it and use it without much trouble. The suction cup has fallen off the shower wall once, but otherwise it has stayed in place pretty well. I installed this suction cup shower head holder in my bathroom mainly to avoid drilling into the wall, and so far it has worked better than I expected. This Vacuum Suction Shower Head Holder is very easy to use and has a very strong suction so you can attach it to any SMOOTH shower or bath wall. It will not adhere to a textured or rough surface but works perfectly on a smooth one.When you install this, make sure the engagement lever is on the bottom, because you need the larger part opening of the holder to be on top.Simply press it against the surface where you want it, push down the lever and it will secure it to the wall.It really is designed for the Conical style (smooth, cone shaped) nut that holds your portable shower wand to the hose, instead of the hex style nut, (that I happen to have on my shower wand connection), BUT.....it still held it in place, even with full pressure coming through the wand. You can see this in one of the pictures I have included.With the hex nut, the wand end barely sits in the holders opening, but with a cone shaped connection, it would slide down inside it. I was surprised and happy that it still holds mine in place, with no issues!IF you wanted to install this just one time, for a more permanent installation, you can use the 3M sticky pad that is included with the holder, but you wouldn't be able to move it to various locations after that, because you would then have adhesive stuck to the back of the holder pad itself.I think this product is designed well and works as it says it will, so I recommend it, if you would like the convenience and versatility of being able to hang your shower wand in various locations around your shower / bath area.
