I have vinyl plank flooring that was installed about 12 years ago, and a few of the planks have started separating over time. I wasn't expecting miracles, but this tool worked surprisingly well. Once the suction cup was locked down, it only took a couple of seconds to pull the planks back together.The kit comes with everything you need to get started, including the suction tool, tapping block, pull bar, and protective pads. The suction cup held securely on my floor, and the tool felt solid while I was using it.I won't pretend it's going to fix every flooring issue, but for pulling separated planks back into place, it did exactly what I needed. If only pulling the rest of my life together was this fast.

This is a must have for flooring projects. It works really well with the lock style flooring.I have used it dozens of times on my current flooring project. It locks in solid and provides a great surface for banging on the planks without damaging them. I use it to lock the planks in place when I can't lift them to the right angle to let them lock in easily.It's especially useful and easy to use when I need to bump a plank over just a few tenths of an inch.The price is on point, especially since you get a bunch of sticky pads that help it to adhere to planks when the surface isn't perfectly smooth.My father in law saw me using it and he wants one of his own.Great tool that is essential for your next flooring job.

This is the second gap fixer I have tried. The first one would not grip my textured vinyl flooring, however this one came with reusable sticky pads that did the trick. Applying the sticky pad first then using the suction tool, it was able to firmly grip the floor tile and allow me to shift it into position better. It is easy to use and good quality - very solid and not flimsy. The price is awesome. I am very happy with this tool.

I picked up this floor gap repair tool to fix a few gaps that have developed in our laminate flooring. In my case, it's going to be a multi-step process because closing one gap simply moves it farther down the row, but this tool makes that process much easier.Since our flooring has a slight texture, I needed to use the included reusable adhesive pads to get a good seal. They worked well and provided enough suction to move each plank without much trouble. The biggest question for me is how well those pads will hold up over time. Since they're designed to be reusable, I'm hopeful they'll maintain their grip through multiple projects with proper cleaning, but that's something I'll be paying attention to as I continue using the tool.The tool itself feels well made. The handle is sturdy, and the overall construction gives me confidence that it'll hold up well. If I had to point to one area that seems less robust, it would be the suction cup locking lever. It functions properly, but it feels like the component most likely to wear before the rest of the tool.One tip for anyone using this: I'd recommend striking it with a rubber mallet rather than a standard steel hammer. It spreads the force more evenly and is likely easier on both the tool and your flooring.For the price, I think this is an excellent value, especially if you only have a few gaps to repair. It's much less expensive than replacing flooring or calling someone out for what is often a straightforward repair.

It works! I did have to use the sticky pads as the suction cup would not otherwise attach to the plank to move it. I also had to apply significant and repetitive strikes to the suction cup strike area to get the planks to move. I am sure other tricks can be used without a specialty tool but the price makes this a great value in order to get the job done easily and in a short amount of time. Overall, I am very happy that I ordered this item to fix floor gaps that annoyed me every time I walked into my master bedroom. I took before and after photos of the area I fixed and included them with this review.

This floor gap fixer is easy to use and works great. The included floor stickers are easy to install and remove without leaving a residue and are reusable. I used a small soft blow hammer (that was not included) to pound the suction cup gap fixer which pushed my floor back together and made the gap disappear. I just had to move down to the next section and repeat. I was hoping I could move two or three boards at a time but I wasn’t able to get that to work with my floor so I had to do one board at a time until I reached the end of the row. Luckily, the clear sticker pads are reusable so I was able to pound out 4 sections while reusing the same sticker. I would just make sure the floor is really clean and free of dirt and debris. At the end of the day, this floor gap fixer works great and fixed my laminate floor gap without doing any damage. The suction cup and frame are good quality and the frame is made from 3 mm thick steel. The protective felt covering on the striking surface is a nice touch as well. The welding and paint finish are also very nicely done. I was surprised to see such attention to fit and finish for a floor gap fixer!

​I recently noticed a few unsightly gaps forming between the planks of my floating laminate flooring, likely from seasonal temperature changes. Instead of pulling up the baseboards to reset the floor, I decided to try out this floor gap fixer tool. The suction cup handle itself feels incredibly heavy-duty; the aluminum alloy body is sturdy and solid in hand, giving me full confidence that it won't snap when I apply pressure.​The mechanism is straightforward: you lock the suction cup onto a misaligned plank and tap the designated striking area with a mallet to slide the board back into place. On smooth, semi-gloss planks, the suction holds remarkably well and moves the boards with ease.​My flooring has a slightly textured, matte finish, which initially made it difficult for a standard vacuum seal to hold under the force of a mallet blow. Fortunately, the included reusable sticky pads solved this issue. Applying one of the gel pads to the suction cup gave it the extra tackiness needed to maintain a firm grip on the uneven surface.​The only minor downside is that managing the sticky pads adds an extra step to the process. You have to make sure the floor is completely free of dust, or the pads lose their adhesion quickly, requiring you to wash and dry them before continuing. It slows down the project slightly if you have several gaps to close across a large room. That being said, the tool completely saved me from a costly and time-consuming floor reconstruction. It is a very solid, well-built tool that gets the job done right.

It will work for what I need but I do think it’s going to fight me regularly for our textured (has pretty deep wood grain) LVP flooring.
