Awesome kit for 12 can lights, Fits like a glove and you can compensate coverage towards one side or keep it evenly around existing trim.Installation is simple and straightforward. Turn lights off, pull trim down, disconnect power, remove/socket and/or bulb from trim and slide ring over and reconnect everything in reverse.Takes less than 15 seconds per can light. The ring is flat and thin, yet flexible and sturdy; has not warped one bit in over a month and color is identical to white can light trim, also matches the ceiling color, and has shown no discoloration. It can eliminate hours of drywall repair and paint work and turn a standard trim into a professional high end trim that prevents ceiling paint or texture damage when trim is moved from side to side when changing bulbs.Great inexpensive fix that not only hides oversized holes, but can also improve the aesthetics of the trims.Simple and a fix that fits any budget without changing downlighting trims or making the messy costly repairs.

Review of Qlvily Store 12 Pack Goof Rings for 6 Inch Recessed Lights - Can Light Trim Ring Cover & Hole Hider for Ceiling, 8.6" OD x 6.2" ID, Flush Mount with Paintable Matte Finish, Durable Plastic, White $14.99 ($1.25 Each)These rings are as described and are a huge bargain considering the time and effort they save.A near perfect hole can be cut in the ceiling most of the time. But even then it is easy to ruffle an edge in the light installation process.Older ceilings can be particularly brittle, especially those with coarse finishes. Matching textures and paint shade is a tedious process and rarely looks ‘just right’.These rings can add up to 1 extra inch of coverage and really just looks like a part of the light trim once in place.

I have to say these saved me a ton of work when converting old can lights to led retrofit lights. These covered the edges, creating a very clean edge for the slightly smaller led lights. After installing them they stayed flat to the ceiling and I was even able to paint them to match the ceiling. They fit the 6” LED retrofits perfectly and hid the torn sheetrock that fell away removing the old can lights.

Anyone who has ever installed recessed can lighting or updated old ceiling fixtures knows that drywall saws can easily wander, leaving you with jagged edges or oversized holes that standard trim rings fail to cover. Finding an aftermarket trim cover that lays completely flush against the plasterboard without looking like a bulky plastic patch is usually a challenge. This 12-Pack of 6-Inch Goof Rings from Qlvily is a brilliant, low-profile solution that functions flawlessly to mask imperfect ceiling cuts and deliver a crisp, professional finish. The Pros:The structural engineering is exceptionally sleek, measuring a mere 0.07 inches thick so it sits virtually invisible against the ceiling plane rather than creating an awkward shadow line. The matte white finish is top-notch out of the box, but the fact that it features a paintable surface is a massive bonus for matching custom ceiling colors perfectly. Getting a full 12-piece bundle provides a ton of coverage, allowing you to standardize the look across an entire room manifold or kitchen renovation layout. The Cons:Because these rings are manufactured from lightweight, highly flexible plastic to maintain their ultra-low profile, they can warp slightly if your ceiling drywall has uneven plaster bumps, requiring you to carefully smooth out the underlying surface to get them to sit perfectly flat.My Tip: This 8.6" outer diameter and 6.2" inner diameter configuration is perfectly optimized for standard 5/6-inch recessed downlights, pendant fixtures, and ceiling fans making them a perfect fit. For a completely tool-free, flawless DIY upgrade, do not use any messy liquid adhesives or tapes to secure the ring. Simply pull your recessed light fixture down slightly from the ceiling spring clips, slide this goof ring directly over the housing, and push the main light trim back up flush so the fixture's native tension locks the plastic ring tightly against the drywall.Final Thoughts:This assortment pack delivers an exceptional, cost-effective cosmetic fix and provides massive peace of mind when cleaning up rough renovation cutouts. It completely eliminates the tedious, dusty headache of patching and mudding drywall mistakes, installs in less than a minute per light, and delivers incredible value for achieving a clean, polished look on a budget.

These goof rings were exactly what I needed to clean up the appearance of my 6-inch recessed lights. During a remodel, the ceiling openings ended up slightly larger than the trim could cover, leaving visible gaps. These trim rings hid the imperfections completely and gave the lights a clean, professional looking finish. The plastic feels sturdy without being too heavy, and the matte white finish blends nicely with the ceiling. I also like that they're paintable if you need to match a custom ceiling color. Installation was quick just place the ring before reinstalling the light trim, and it sits flush against the ceiling. The inside diameter fit my standard 6 inch recessed lights perfectly, while the larger outside diameter covered all the damaged edges. Buying the 12 pack was a great value since I had multiple fixtures to update.Overall, these are a simple, affordable fix for oversized drywall cuts, uneven ceiling holes, or cosmetic repairs around recessed lighting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an easy way to improve the finished look of their can lights.

These trim rings are a total lifesaver for my ceiling light project. After some renovations and replacing a few recessed lights, I ended up with a couple of oversized holes and rough drywall edges that looked messy. These matte white rings hid everything perfectly. The flush mount design blends right in with the ceiling so you can barely tell they’re there. They give a clean, professional finish without having to patch and repaint the whole area. Huge time and money saver.Installation is ridiculously easy — no tools required. You just slip each ring over the light fixture and it sits snugly between the trim and the drywall. Took seconds per light.I got the 12-pack, which gave me plenty for the whole kitchen plus extras for future projects. The dimensions are spot-on for standard 5/6-inch recessed lights. They’re thin but sturdy enough to do the job.If you have any gaps, rough edges, or mismatched openings around your recessed lights, ceiling fans, or pendants, these are an inexpensive and effective fix. They look great and made my ceilings look way better with minimal effort. Highly recommend keeping a pack on hand! 💡

Like other goof rings I have used. It's nice. It's what I expected from plastic trim/goof rings. So, getting 12 of them (hallway, rooms, etc) was good value for me.It hides the areas one usually needs hidden as too many DIY and even handymen usually don't cut perfectly and you need something to hide the extra "hole" area. In that, it fits nicely and looks nice as well.Super easy to install....if you can install any other goof ring, you can install this. Just pull down the casement of the light, put this there, put that casement back up and screw in the light. Or, if you have the newer "all in 1" LED types, then you are done after the 2nd step. Nice
