Butt end cap was broken into small pieces. However, product seemed to be in acceptable condition otherwise. Will return it for a replacement.

I bought this because i'm really not comfortable scaling a 24' ladder anymore and this thing definitely reaches 20'. It is solid and feels pretty well built but fully extended it of course has a lot of give so keep that in mind. If you use a step ladder along with it you can cut back on some of the swaying by not fully extending but this tool does exactly what I need it to do. Also, make sure you know your surroundings because fully extended this thing is longer than you realize!UPDATE: after working with this tool for about a month my feelings have changed. The further extended it is it is quite unstable and the tension tabs can give a bit if you put any pressure on say a paint roller. Also, sliding the tubes back into place can get caught up and take a bit to fully collapse. It's annoying it is now on sale but honestly, Lowes sells a 24' extension that feels way more solid and has a better design. This pole isn't totally useless as it works well fully collapsed or up a full length but to use at it's longest, it's just too unstable so I would get a more solid pole for high spots. Not to mention the tabs aren't a great design as well as issues collapsing. 2.5 stars
