2026 Upgraded Floor Gap Fixer Tool

I ordered this gap fixer after I began a flooring project in my summer condo which quickly made me realize I may have bit off more than I could chew with the job. I'm a seasoned DIY'er and worked in construction for years, but for whatever reason struggled to simply lock in flooring pieces with ease or without them disconnecting or becoming stubborn to connect, etc.Some lock easy, other's don't. When cutting each piece at a different length to start the room and staggering them throughout, it's super difficult to get waterproof planks to stay put while maintaing the appropriate spacing they need to settle at and spread out. It became super frustrating. I saw this and had to jump on it.Between the suction cup mechanism with the locking tension, the set of adhesive film to allow it to better stick on certain wood grains that may be a bit more difficult, the foam pieces alongside two opposing striking areas, with foam to couple with the striking areas to not make an entire racket alongside the rubber mallet included to knock planks into place... suddenly I have all I need to get this done, and I did get it done. Though, aside from the mallet and the striking blocks, the chip trimming knife is also a super helpful tool to get stubborn chips cleaned and cleared when things aren't locking in as planned.This made my life much easier and I'd recommend it to any contractor or DIY'er or homeowner simply looking to do some handy work themselves. This has been everything I needed to turn a seemingly easy job into the easy job it seemed to be. Would recommend.

I'm actually a bit surprised at how effective this was to fix some gaps on my laminate flooring. I was concerned it wouldn't do the trick, but that's not the case. It's nice that this comes with everything you need too. You won't have to go searching around for random tools. The iron construction feels solid and durable, and the suction cup gives a pretty good grip without damaging the floor surface. Overall, it’s a decent value repair set and allows you to do it yourself.

Great investment for anyone that installs floating floors - they're great for that stubborn gap that won't stay closed. I've had similar tools that cost 3 times as much that worked half as well. The lever-style suction cup on this one works well overall, though it does still struggle to maintain a good seal on heavily-textured floors, but the reusable sticky pads go a long way to help that. The little cleanout tool is a nice addition too.

The kit comes with everything you need. The system does work but you might have to use the included adhesive strip to get a good seal on pitted floorboards. I tested this tool out on engineered wood flooring and it does work but some boards might be trickier than others depending if any are glued down or close to the wall with calking, something to keep in mind. I like the crack cleaning tool as it works well and it was nice to have gloves included in the kit for comfort. The mallet is really nice as well. Overall it is a reasonable value for what is included in the kit. Definitely watch the video for tips on how to use this tool.

I used to dread flooring jobs with snap-in pieces, especially when the client didn't choose the premium option. Anyone who's done this knows how much of a hassle it can be to get a tight fit throughout the entire room. Even a small offset can mess up the whole flow, making you backtrack on hours of work. This tool set provides a much better grip than a crowbar and uses suction cups, which eliminates the risk of damaging the flooring. It's a real lifesaver, and for the price, I'm extremely happy. The tools are simple to use and self-explanatory. It also came with a rubber mallet and cotton gloves. The orange design makes them super easy to spot in my toolbox.
