I haven’t installed this yet, so I can’t speak to how well it actually corrects a leaning post. What I can say is that, out of the box, it feels pretty substantial. The steel has a good amount of heft to it, and the overall design seems straightforward enough.What attracted me to this type of repair is the idea of reinforcing an existing post without having to dig everything out and start over. If you’ve ever dealt with a fence post, avoiding excavation already sounds like a fairly good day.The drive-in design also looks like it should make installation considerably easier than replacing the post completely. Of course, how easy that actually is will probably depend quite a bit on your soil. Soft ground and rocky ground tend to have very different opinions about the phrase “easy installation.”My biggest question is long-term durability. The galvanized and coated finish looks good now, but this is something that will live outdoors in contact with the ground, so time, moisture, and weather will be the real test.At around $24 for one, it isn’t inexpensive, but if it saves a solid fence post from having to be completely replaced, the math starts to make more sense.For now, I like the construction and the concept. I’ll know a lot more once it has been installed and has survived some actual weather.

Perfect solution for a leaning post on my fence. Thought I had to replace the 4X4 and then found this fence post repair kit. Installed it in about 15 minutes. I did add my own wood screws that were much more robust. Did the job perfectly and the fence is now solid.
