This is a solid, well-made waterproof enclosure that works great for protecting electrical and electronic equipment. The ABS housing feels sturdy, and the gasket around the lid combined with the metal latches creates a tight, secure seal. The clear lid is especially useful because you can check components or indicator lights without opening the box.I also like that it includes an internal mounting plate, external mounting brackets, and cable glands. There are no pre-drilled cable holes, so you can drill them exactly where needed for your particular installation. The plastic is easy to drill and modify without feeling flimsy.Overall, this is a sturdy, versatile weatherproof project box with plenty of room for small electronics, controllers, networking equipment, or other outdoor electrical projects. Good quality for the price.

Great weatherproof enclosure. As a licensed electrician I dont use this as a junction box, I use it as a protective outdoor enclosure for transformers, low voltage gear and other stuff that lives outside. Even when the equipment is already rated waterproof, I like giving it that extra layer of protection from sun, rain and dust. Adds a lot of life to whatever your putting in there. The build is solid, the ABS is sturdy and the 304 stainless latches feel quality, not the flimsy kind that break after a season outside. IP67 rated so its truly sealed up, and the hinged lid makes it easy to get in and check on things.Nice that it comes with the mounting brackets, screws and cable glands, so you got what you need to mount it to a wall and run your cables in clean. The clear cover version is handy too if you want to see whats inside without opening it up.Good size, good quality, and versatile for way more than just a J box. Works great for what I use it for. Would buy again!

This is a nice-quality electrical junction box for the price and comes with just about everything needed to get started, including mounting hardware and cord grips. The size is large enough to accommodate most projects without being unnecessarily bulky, and I really like that it includes a component mounting plate. It also features locking tabs that help to seal the lid water tight, as well as a spot for a padlock. The box comes with a plastic film over the cover to prevent scratches on shipping, which keeps the appearance nice. The box is nice and sturdy, but the plastic is thin enough to still quickly drill holes for components.I'm using mine to house an LED controller for my lighted house numbers, and it works perfectly for that application. At about the same price as a smaller PVC junction box from the big-box store—and without the mounting plate or included cord grips—this box is a great deal.

I got this clear project box, size 7.9"x3.9"x2.8", and happy with it. The box is well made, accurate, and sealed well with a gasket between case and lid. It has two solid latches, strong hinges, and solid construction. I've used a lot of project and junction boxes over many years and happy to find this one. The price is reasonable, the layout and size is good (also made in other sizes), and I like the grid tie backboard inside which makes mounting components, wires, parts and connectors easy. I didn't try to test the IP67 rating water & dust resistance but have no reason to doubt it. It came with two wire glands, and one thing interesting it has no markings on the case to suggest where to drill entry holes for these. It's not a big deal and I'd rather have a solid more durable case than one with knock-outs or reduced thickness areas to use for entry holes since more often than not they aren't wanted or end up being in the wrong place. But I digress. It's a decent box and glad I got an opportunity to get it and try it out. I'll be ordering more in the future.

I have a post outside in my back yard where I have a single ethernet jack running to that powered a Wifi AP. I am wanting to add two IP cameras, so need a box I can use a PoE switch inside to "split" out multiple PoE points from. This should work perfectly for my use case - I can put a Ubiquiti Flex inside, which is a PoE powered PoE switch. Genius! The box came with mounting hardware and two things you can drill holes to run cables inside and outside the box. I'm still a few weeks out from installing, but I can confirm the switch will fit inside the box with enough room to spare that I ought to be able to comfortably work inside it.It claims to be IP67 rated, which means it can handle being submerged in water for ~30 minutes and remain dry on the inside. This is something I can test! I filled a 5 gallon bucket with water and submerged this in the bucket with a brick on top of it and started a timer. I came back 20 minutes later and opened it up to find it perfectly dry inside. This is overkill for something you plan to drill holes in and run wires through since clearly once you drill a hole then you break the IP67 rating, but it's good to know it is properly rated. I've had things I've bought online before claiming to be IP67 rated that held water after rain. If it's this water tight, then it should be plenty safe to drill holes on the bottom to run wires up inside if pole mounted.Overall I think this is a good buy and has a lot of potential when used outdoors.

I picked the Clear, 8.7x6.7x4.3in option. It's a nice little junction box. I like the clear option because it allows for quick inspection without having to open the box. It's usually very convenient because I try not to open my outdoor junction boxes much once it's installed. It comes with some mounting hardware and seals, but does not have any connection holes pre-drilled--you'll have to do it yourself. The box on its own is fully sealed and the latch is quite strong. I like the grid backing, it makes mounting some items easier.I have some small control boxes for electronic sensors and cameras inside this. It's powered by a solar panel and this box makes it easy to keep it outside. The sealing is good and keeps my electronics protected from the rain, dust and insects. It does heat up inside because there's no ventilation, so I recommend keeping it away from the sun.

This IP67 waterproof junction box is a solid choice for outdoor or indoor electrical and electronics projects that need protection from water, dust, and general weather nonsense. The ABS enclosure feels sturdy, the hinged clear lid is convenient, and the included mounting plate, brackets, and cable glands make it much easier to turn into a clean, serviceable installation. It is the sort of box that quietly says, "I am here to keep your electronics from having a bad day."My grading here focuses on weather sealing, build quality, mounting options, internal space, ease of modification, included accessories, latch quality, versatility, and overall value. For low-voltage lighting, solar accessories, irrigation controls, networking gear, sensors, or other protected project builds, this is a very useful enclosure. My Rubric✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a show stopper❌ Not Good = Could be a show stopperMy star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5 star system are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. Finally, although some items have been freely offered via the Vine system, I refuse to sell out and will never allow a vendor to influence my scoring through any means other than the quality of the product, both on its own and in relation to the current pricing at the time of my review. I value the efforts of other honest reviewers and wish nothing more than to pay their efforts forward in hopes of faithfully guiding others to informed decisions. The Good✅ IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating, The enclosure is designed to protect contents from dust and serious water exposure.✅ Sturdy ABS construction, The plastic feels solid and suitable for many outdoor and project uses.✅ Clear hinged cover, The transparent lid makes it easy to check indicators, displays, or components without opening the box.✅ Secure metal latches, The stainless steel latches clamp the lid down firmly.✅ Good gasket seal, The lid gasket helps create a tight weather-resistant closure.✅ Includes mounting plate, The internal plate makes it easier to mount components without compromising the sealed box.✅ External wall brackets included, The brackets allow wall mounting without drilling through the sealed interior.✅ Cable glands included, The 1/2" and 3/8" NPT glands help with clean wire entry.✅ Drills cleanly, The ABS material can be modified for custom cable entries without cracking easily.✅ Versatile project use, It works well for lighting, CCTV, routers, PoE switches, solar, irrigation, ham radio, LEDs, and smart home projects.✅ Good usable size, The 8.7" x 6.7" x 4.3" footprint gives room for small electronics without becoming oversized. The So-So➖ Only two cable glands included, More pass-through connectors would be helpful for larger wiring projects.➖ ABS is not the most UV-resistant plastic, Long-term direct sun exposure may be harder on it than shaded or sheltered use.➖ Best for planned layouts, The box has decent space, but components, cable bends, and glands should be measured before drilling.➖ Not a complete electrical solution by itself, Proper fittings, strain relief, grounding, code compliance, and safe wiring practices still matter.➖ Clear cover may show dirt and scratches, Convenient visibility comes with a bit more cosmetic exposure over time. The Not-Good❌ No major show-stopper from my perspective, provided it is installed correctly and used with proper outdoor-rated fittings and electrical practices. The detailsThe most important thing with a project box like this is whether it feels trustworthy, and this one does. The gasketed hinged lid, metal latches, and included mounting hardware all make it feel like a practical enclosure rather than just a plastic box with ambitions. I especially like the external mounting brackets because they avoid putting screw holes through the sealed interior, which is exactly the kind of sensible detail that prevents future muttering. The clear cover is also genuinely useful. For solar controllers, low-voltage lighting connections, PoE gear, small displays, fuse blocks, sensor boards, or smart home equipment, being able to see status lights or readouts without opening the box is a real convenience. The internal mounting plate also makes the build cleaner because components can be arranged and serviced more easily. The only real limitations are ordinary ones for this category. You may need more cable glands depending on the project, and I would be mindful of long-term direct sun exposure since ABS is sturdy but not the king of UV endurance. Overall, though, this is a well-made, flexible, weatherproof enclosure that should work nicely for a wide range of outdoor electronics and low-voltage projects.Final Rating: 4.7/5 (Sturdy, well sealed, easy to mount, and very useful for outdoor projects, with only minor caveats around included glands and long-term UV exposure).
