8 Inch Industrial Portable Air Blower Ventilator with Hose

This looked like a handy little air mover with a thousand uses at a pretty decent price point, so I went ahead and ordered one for use around the house and shop. The fan itself is 8" diameter and has a single-speed toggle switch on top. When it is on, it is on. And you will know it because it's not the quietest of fans. Due to the noise, I prefer to use my snail shell blower for general blower use. The beauty of this unit is really in the hose. It can attach to either end to blow or suck air. On a side note, you will probably want to let it run for an hour to get the heavy plasticky smell out of the hose. I've used it for several varied uses so far, and I'm quite happy with it. Last week I left my car window down overnight, and we had the heaviest rainstorm in a year. The hose let me direct air in all the places needed to really get it dried out well. I have also used it for ventilating the garage when spray painting. And also for pumping cold air from the house into the hot garage. I'll find many more uses for it. It appears to be pretty well made. I just wish they could make it a little quieter.

We will be using this often as we have 3 cats that leave spots on our carpets (vomiting mostly). This requires using our home carpet shampoo machine that frankly does not do a great job of pulling water out of our carpet. This air blower is perfect for drying our carpets after shampooing. It can as well help in drying and airing out freshly painted rooms, or even for exhausting the occasional cooking disaster. This ventilator moves a lot of air and cuts carpet drying time by hours. It has cleared the kitchen of smoke from burning popcorn (oops!) in just a couple of minutes.This is small enough for easy storage, and is much easier to use than larger industrial air blowers, which is a big plus for the average home.The included hose attachment is a nice addition for directing the exhaust outside or for bringing in fresh air, whichever you choose for the task at hand. It is a little loud, but given that this is for specific tasks and not for everyday use like a household fan, the noise level is not an issue for us.
