I really like these ends as they made a conversion to new LED bulbs in my workshop a very quick conversion. The plastic, spring loaded end as well as the fixed end was a direct replacement on my fixture and using the back wire, push in connections made a 5 minute install simple with the lights up and running. Highly recomended for ballast free conversions.

I ordered these to retrofit a gaggle of old 2-pin mounts that I had been using. Switching out the tombstones is very straightforward and quite simple, no electrician or engineering degree required. Once the base plate is separated from the box that contains the old and now unnecessary ballast, the old tombstones usually just slide out off of the ends, or in some there may be a tab or two restraining them that has to be bent out of the way, but that's just a few shakes with a pair of needle-nose and you're on your way. The wires come off of one and go right back onto the new and then you reassemble. The retention pin has a good strong spring behind it to keep the tube well tensioned, and the plastic used in the construction of the housing is better than the old stuff that they used to use from the look of it. It just feels sturdier. Anyway, they all lit their respective lamps without any drama, flickers or issue, so I was pleased. The current offering price strikes me as a reasonable figure so I'll call this a decent value for the money that looks and feels like it should last a good long while. And it helps keep a collection of old fixtures out of the waste stream that much longer.

Last year, I bypassed the ballasts and converted sixteen of my 8-foot shop fixtures to LED. Shortly after, one of the fixtures failed, leaving both bulbs only half-lit, while another fixture developed an intermittent blink every few seconds. I ordered replacement tubes but inadvertently ordered single-pin (FA8) bulbs instead of the dual-pin style my fixtures used. Instead of returning the 8-foot bulbs, I decided to replace the tombstones to accept the single-pin tubes. The swap was easy and solved my issues. The half-lit and blinking problems are gone. The tombstones feel solid enough for their purpose, and they fit into the existing fixture slots without issue . The plunger mechanism has a good, firm spring tension that holds the 8-foot tubes securely. Keep in mind that these do not come pre-wired, but your existing fixture should already be wired with plenty for the connections. They are rated up to 600V and 660W, which is more than enough headroom for 8-foot LED tubes, and they competitively priced for converting older commercial fixtures, or fixing an ordering mistake like I did. A+

I picked up these FA8 single-pin tombstone sockets to replace worn-out lampholders while converting several 8-foot fluorescent fixtures to LED tubes, and they worked perfectly. The connectors fit securely, installed easily, and provided a solid connection to the new LED bulbs. The plastic construction feels durable, and the mounting holes lined up well with my existing fixtures, making the retrofit process straightforward.Pros:Easy to install and wireSecure fit for 8ft T8, T10, and T12 single-pin LED tubesGood quality constructionAffordable compared to buying new fixturesPerfect for LED retrofit projectsCons:No installation instructions includedMounting hardware is not providedPlastic material is sturdy but not heavy-duty industrial gradeOverall, these tombstone sockets did exactly what I needed them to do and saved me from replacing entire light fixtures. If you're upgrading old 8-foot fluorescent lights to LED tubes, these are an excellent and cost-effective solution.
