I picked this blade up for a siding project on my house, mostly replacing some damaged Hardie board panels around the base, and I have to say it exceeded what I was expecting for the price. Fiber cement is notoriously rough on regular blades since it eats through carbide teeth fast and kicks up a ridiculous amount of silica dust, so I was a little nervous going in. The 6-tooth PCD design on this one made a real difference right away. The cuts came out straight and clean without the chipping or cracking along the edges that I've dealt with using cheaper diamond blades in the past.What stood out most to me was how manageable the dust situation was. I wouldn't say it's dust-free by any means, you're still cutting cement board so there's going to be some mess, but it felt noticeably more controlled than blades I've used before, and my shop vac attachment kept up with it fine. The fit on my 5/8 inch arbor saw was exact, no fussing with adapters or shims, which is always a relief when you're trying to get through a stack of boards before the weather turns.As far as durability goes, I ran this through more than a dozen cuts on 5/8 inch Hardie plank and the teeth still look sharp with no visible chipping. PCD blades are generally pricier upfront but they're built to outlast standard carbide-tipped options by a wide margin when you're working with abrasive material like this, and so far that tracks with what I'm seeing. The blade also ran cooler than I anticipated, I didn't notice any burning smell or discoloration on the cut edges, which tells me the tooth geometry is doing its job moving heat away efficiently.
I ordered the SawWorks 7 1/4-inch, 4-tooth, 5/8-inch arbor, Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) tipped circular saw blade for fiber cement board, fireproof board, and calcium silicate board.I installed this blade on my 7 1/4-inch circular Skilsaw and the blade fit well. Unfortunately, I don’t have any material to test this blade on at this time, but I will be using it on a siding project a few months from now. I will modify my review, if my opinion differs after I have experience using this blade.I like that this blade has Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) coated tips, so the teeth will stay sharp longer. The blade has Lazer cut expansion joints that allow the blade to expand and cool when it heats up. This blade is specifically manufactured to cut hard abrasive materials like fiber cement, calcium silicate, magnesium oxide, gypsum, and concrete backer board. Cutting through any of these materials will create a lot of dust, so be sure to wear eye protection and a mask rated for this type of work.Overall, the SawWorks PCD blade appears to be a manufactured with quality materials, is designed specifically for abrasive construction materials, should remain sharp for extended use, is a fair value for the money, and I recommend it.
I just built a trash can wall to hide my cans and match the siding on my house. Before I got this blade I was just using a 24 tooth regular construction saw blade on my circular saw for cutting the planks, but it was eating through blades, they're just not meant for cutting the fiber cement boards. This blade does an excellent job cutting and was easy to use on my circular saw. The cut was quite smooth and held up well for me to finish this project. It's definitely a good value to purchase a blade for this specific work rather than substituting a blade you're just going to destroy.

all I needed was making a few cuts on some hardie-board and hardie-plank.the definition of "thin kerf" I guess is relative. While the old standard for kerf was 0.125" and this blade measures around 0.090" (2.3mm) on average, so the stated 0.087" is within the accuracy of the digital calipers and somewhat sloppy measuring I was doing.what I cared about is whether it was the same kerf as my track saw blade since I didn't want to remove material from the splinter guard strip.since my track saw blade kerf was 1.8mm, I'd be removing 0.5mm from the strip. Typically not an amount I care about, but for a few cuts I needed I opted to not use the track saw - more out of concern that a 4 tooth blade may chew up the guard strip enough that I'd need to replace it.no complaints about the cuts it produced, and can't say anything about the durability as I didn't need to cut much.
This showed up just in time for my new project. I'm putting in a garage on the end of the house. I removed the vinyl siding from that end of the house and I'm going back with cement lap siding inside the garage. I have used old carbide blades in the past to cut cement panels before. I think this blade does a much nicer job. Just don't try to push it too fast. I can't say for sure, but I think it throws out less dust too. Be sure to use some type of mask regardless. This type of dust is really bad for your lungs. My one gripe is it seems a little over priced.

A specialty blade for cutting cement type building materials. The blade cuts a very narrow kerf with an even thinner blade body to give plenty of clearance for the blade while cutting. The kerf is .087" while the blade body is .057". Most standard blades are 1/8" or .125" kerf. This is an imperative since these materials are very abrasive and can easily damage a blade. The blade cuts fiber cement board, calcium silicate, magnesium oxide and concrete bonded board. Generally, these materials are used as a base for tile floors, bathroom showers and other construction designs. The blade is polycrystalline diamond tipped cutting teeth that cut these hard abrasive materials extending the life of the blade under the most difficult conditions. Generally, diamond or abrasive blades are used to cut these materials. I can't wait to use this blade and if it does not perform as expected, I will revisit my review for corrections. This is a 10 inch blade generally used on table saws. If you use this on a table saw, use a base to cover the table or use an old saw that you do not care about scratches on the table such as a old saw with a rusted table you have cleaned up with a grinder. The blade has laser cut expansion joints to allow for expansion when the blade heats up allowing a straight cut even under the most difficult conditions.
Solid tough blade but the four-tooth design can be problematic. Less teeth means cutting through narrower boards can be a challenge, prone to catching and thus chipping/fracturing. It might work a little better for large flat panel fiber cement (the ones you see more modern builds), but I'd avoid using these for narrower traditional lap siding. Fairly expensive at over $20.
I am about to do some remodeling on my master bathroom, including tiling the shower. This blade is exactly what I need to cut cement board to go under the new tile, so I figured I'd give this blade a try.I tested this blade on a piece of leftover cement board from a previous remodel project, and it cut that cement board well. The cuts were clean and even, and the blade held up well. I got the usual dust and bits of cement all over but that's from the process, not the blade having anything wrong with it. I expect that this blade will give me good results for the cuts I will need when I actually do the remodel, given the cuts I made in the test piece.Overall, I think this blade is a good value at its price point.
