Did the job

[Color: Bl2-2]
I ordered this BMWOOD MT2 to MT2 extension sleeve after I kept running out of tailstock travel on a tall hollow form. The extra reach let me get a drill chuck deep into a vase blank that used to make me mutter at the machine. The alloy steel feels dense and honest in the hand. No cheap flash, no burrs, and the taper seats so tight it almost clicks. Craftsmanship is the kind you notice when the live center stays dead true and the cut does not wander.Last Saturday I was turning a stubborn piece of scrap that a neighbor left after a storm. I needed the tool rest closer to the work and still wanted the tailstock locked in. This sleeve gave me that extra few inches and held like it was part of the quill. I even used it later the same day to finish a small bowl I had almost written off.Value for the money is easy. For something this rigid I expected more spend, and instead I got a shop tool I actually reach for. If you turn deep vessels or just want more room around the banjo, this one earns its keep. Five stars from the bench.

Perfect fit for adapting MT1 accessories to an MT2 tailstock

[Color: Mts-2/1]
I got this BMWOOD MT2 to MT1 reducing adapter to use some of my smaller Morse taper drill chucks and live centers on a lathe with an MT2 tailstock, and it fits like a glove. The machining is precise with no wobble or runout, which is critical when you are turning wood and need things to run dead true.It is made of heavy-duty hardened steel and drops right into the MT2 quill without sticking or jamming. When you want to remove the smaller MT1 arbor or center, a standard drift key pops it right back out cleanly through the slot. It feels solid, well-ground, and solved my compatibility problem instantly without having to buy a whole new set of tooling.

REALLY solid:

[Color: Bl2-2]
I do quite a bit of turning, although not as much as I'd like. There are occasions where I either need to get a piece further from the headstock, or where I need to drill deeper from the tailstock. I didn't even know that one of these existed before I saw this one. This is WAAAY more solid than using a drill extension, and more stable. It comes in its own plastic case to keep dust out of it, and is nicely packaged in a sealed bag and coated with oil. You can't go wrong with this.

I used to have a mini wood lathe and now I have a midi lathe. I have an MT1 pen mandril from when I had the mini lathe and my new lathe uses an MT2 mandril. I saw this adapter and realized it's exactly what I need to use my pen mandril and I have other lathe tools by this seller which are high quality. So I ordered this immediately. It fits both the MT1 and MT2 perfectly. It's smooth and has no sharp edges or scratches. It's labeled with the taper sizes. And it comes in a plastic holder so it won't get dinged in my tool drawer. I'm really pleased with it and it's a great price.

Nice MT-2 extenderNice MT-2 extender

[Color: Bl2-2, Color: Bl2-2]
This is a nice MT2 extension sleeve. This extension sleeve has an MT2 inner hole & MT2 outer shank, with 30mm (1.18 inch) outer diameter and 175mm (6.89 inch) overall length. It perfectly matches lathe tailstock live centers, taper shank drills and reamers for seamless replacement of original sleeves. Typically used for Morse taper extension and reducing conversion in various lathe and drilling machine machining scenarios. This will expand the tailstock travel distance for special applications. Extended Travel help to drill hole in a deep vase with drill chuck on wood lathe.Manufactured from high-quality alloy steel and high-speed steel, this piece features high rigidity, strong shock resistance and anti-fracture performance. When this first arrived I did my typical initial inspection and didn't find any major issues or defects that would render this unusable or unsafe to use. At this price point (~$20), I believe this is an average value. A quick search shows similar items costing between ~$20-23. Would I order this again? Yes, I believe I would.Hope this helps.

Excellent extension

[Color: Bl2-2]
I picked this up for my 16" Nova lathe, and the MT2 to MT2 extension works excellent. The fit is very good, and tight, so there's no additional deflection with any of it. I like having an extension to give me a little more room for the banjo for the tool rest. On the bigger nova lathes, the clamping section is offset to the right of the tool post holder, so having a bit of extra clearance towards the tail stock end is a nice thing. It's got a through hole for a wedge if you needed to drive out a center that got stuck, but I've not had that issue yet. as I've pretty much got a dedicated live center in this thing that I use all the time. It's been working great
