This heavy duty 1HP 110-120VAC electric motor by Hakazeni is well made and the perfect replacement for my 1982 Craftsman air compressor. It has obviously lasted me many years but finally needed a motor replacement. Installation was a bit of a challenge because it was not an exact replacement, but with a little modification to my compressor frame, it fit well. At 1720RPM, the speed is exactly where it should be. It was worth the effort at the end of the day. The build quality on this motor is very impressive. It looks, and more importantly, feels industrial - easily twice the quality of the motor it replaced. I really like the substantial cooling fins. The price is very reasonable considering the great build quality and performance. Highly recommended!Review for: Hakazeni - 1HP AC Electric Motor 110-120V, 1720RPM Single Phase with 5/8" Keyed Shaft, High Efficiency Electric Motors for Air Compressor, Industrial & Home Use 2605-079

I got this motor to replace another motor on my machine, which has been working satisfactorily ever since I installed it. This motor seems well constructed, and the shaft size of 5/8 inch was suitable without having to alter anything. This motor starts easily, is quiet when in operation, and also keeps a constant speed through extended periods of operation. Installation was easy and wiring was easy as it was done in a standard 110V arrangement. I have been satisfied with the operation of this motor on my pump.

This 1HP motor arrived well packaged and feels like a quality piece of equipment. The housing is sturdy, the shaft machining is clean, and everything lined up properly during installation. Once running, it operates smoothly with very little vibration or excessive noise. It's well suited for replacing worn-out motors on compressors or other shop equipment where dependable continuous operation is important.Pros:✔ Smooth and quiet operation✔ Solid construction✔ Clean shaft machining✔ Easy installation✔ Good value for the powerCons:✘ Verify shaft dimensions before ordering✘ Wiring instructions could be more detailed

This motor is heavy duty, cased in metal with a control-box and capacitor on it's exterior. It has the appearance of being made of quality materials and the wiring is sufficient for the power requirements. It runs much more quietly than the old compressor's motor ever did. it may be a bit over powered, but only a little, and that hasn't caused any trouble. This motor is much more efficient, making it affordable for daily use. We have an old compressor that has gone thru three or four motors over the decades and this one is the quietest and it consumes relatively very little power. It works great, was easy to install and it only required a few new mounting holes in the big flat bracket (on my compressor) to get a good fit.All-in-all this motor is a great upgrade, looks likely to last a long time and a good fit for our compressor. I am pleased to have it and would recommend it to anyone looking. I think it is a good value due to it being so well made.

In my opinion there is not a better 110 motor out there. We utilize in our to operate our compressor. The former motor was one and a half horsepower rated however this motor outperforms that old one hands down. The quality of the motor is evident by the top notch housing, connections, mounts and all peripherals that go into the making of this. From just the weight alone you can tell that this has heavy large quality coils to deliver the power needed for our compressor. We've had this operating all day long day after day and there's no degradation in quality power it has produced. All day long I'll stand behind this product and recommend to anyone .... 5 full stars

Well, it's large for my property. I've got several electric motors under 1 HP. This was advertised as 1 HP but I received 1.5 HP. Okay, I can use it for the 6 yard cement mixer I need for an upcoming project. Originally it had a 3/4 HP motor that burnt up so this is a big upgrade and I should be able to load the drum with more material than previously. The frame of this is robust and industrial grade. I clamped it and did a bump check for rotation. I put a meter on the windings and they look good with consistent resistance. It's one that will certainly need the capacitor start to successfully start. All the wiring is an appropriate size for this motor. The shaft is cleanly machined with no rough edges, chatter marks or burrs. The keyway is cleanly cut.I had to add a plate for bolting as the frame is larger than the 3/4 HP I had and I need better support for the end two bolts. I had to modify the present coupling to the drum and that's not done but for a temporary setup it starts, rotates and isn't generating any appreciable heat. We'll see when it's loaded up. The cable box has a liquitite fitting already for a generous cable. I'm using 8/0 leftover from a well pump. With a clamp-on meter I'm seeing 12 amps running with no material in it so I may have to run this off a generator with a 30 amp outlet. So, plan your job and the load for this motor. I have the capability to work through it but make sure you can as well.Overall a solid motor at a good price for the apparent quality. I like it.

I used this as a replacement motor, and overall it feels like a solid buy for the money. It has plenty of power, runs smoothly, and is quieter than I expected for a motor this size. The housing feels heavy and well built, and once installed, it does the job without sounding strained. But it is not all good, and I would not call it beginner-proof. The wiring instructions are nearly useless, they might make sense in other parts of the world but for the North American market, they are gibberish. I was able to figure it out but I have an electrical background so I knew sort of what to expect. A person should not need to have an engineering degree to do such a simple task. I also do not like that the capacitor placement and wiring seems vulnerable to damage. I would also double-check shaft size, mounting pattern, rotation direction, and whether your application needs reversible operation before buying. For shop tools, fans, compressors, mixers, grinders, and similar equipment, this motor seems like a strong value. It may not be as polished as a higher-end name-brand motor, and quality control looks like something to watch, but mine performs well once set up. I’d buy it again for a practical repair or upgrade, but I’d inspect it carefully before installation.
