Remodeling my house and I ordered one of these lamps for the sunroom but first I put it in the living room and decided I liked it so much that I ordered two more. Easy to put together nice base, simple white contemporary shade and bright. My living room even with lamps was not very light These are nice brightens the whole room

I was skeptical when I unpacked this lamp. I didn’t think the shade would be attractive enough to use on a lamp that would be prominent in my studio. The lamp went together well. The base is heavy and substantial enough to support the lamp without me worrying about knocking it over. I have been using the lamp for a couple of months and really like the way the light illuminates the room and my reading area without glare. The foot switch on the floor works very well. I have a much more expensive floor lamp that is in my living room that uses a halogen light bulb. The light from this lamp has a much more pleasant cast and works well for the reading I do at my desk at night. The combination of a desk lamp and this floor lamp is perfect for my studying and writing. All in all, I am very happy with it. The shade has been fine—quite a clever design, actually.
