2 Pack Steel Shipping Container VentI was planning on getting a shipping container to increase storage space for my business. These containers should really be given additional venting, in order to improve the atmospheric conditions in the container in order to prevent the spread of mold / mildew etc.I had looked at other styles of venting, however these vents are manufactured to take into consideration the customary shape of shipping containers, and thus these vents will fit more easily/ readily than most DIY jobs.The double screen vent insures good air flow, while also helping to prevent intrusion by flying insects.Pleased with this order.4 stars!Explaining my rating system:5 - a superior product - I would recommend4 - above average – a great choice3 - average – what one might generally expect2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

This Two(2) Pack Steel Shipping Container Vent with Aluminum Alloy Mesh Screen / Rust-Resistant Cross Air Flow Ventilation Vents / Cargo Container Accessories for Preventing Condensation and Excessive Heat are perfect for my specific needs: To lay atop a buried flexible vinyl underground irrigation tubing line, to protect it from inadvertent shovel and pitchfork soil working tools. Two(2) galvanized steel vents and two(2) aluminum alloy mesh screens - both items seem well-manufactured and both items have rounded corners. Will definitely make a "clinking sound" if ever coming into contact with an aforementioned shovel and/or pitchfork.

While these vents don't look like much, the passive ventilation they provide really take the edge off walking into my storage Conex during 100 degree heat index. I have 4 on my Conex, 2 low, and 2 high on both ends. This configuration allows for convection currents to draw in cooler air and push out hotter air without using any electricity.

I used these vents on a shipping container to help with airflow and reduce the trapped heat and moisture that can build up inside. A closed container can get hot and stale quickly, and condensation is a real issue if air is not moving. Adding vents is a practical upgrade, especially if the container is being used for storage and not just short-term shipping.The kit came with the two vents, the inner mesh screens, and the mounting hardware. The pieces felt solid enough for this type of installation. The outer vent is steel, and the mesh screen is aluminum alloy, so the setup gives airflow while still helping keep out larger debris. I also like that the mesh is separate from the outer vent because it creates a cleaner finished installation from both sides of the wall.Installation is not difficult, but it does require cutting into the container, so this is not a five-minute job. You need to be comfortable measuring, marking, drilling, and cutting metal. I marked the opening carefully before cutting because placement matters. The vents need to sit correctly against the corrugated wall so they fit tight and do not create obvious gaps. Once the opening and bolt holes were made, the vent and screen mounted securely with the included hardware.The high-low placement guidance makes sense. One vent low and one vent higher on the opposite side gives better passive crossflow than putting both vents at the same height on the same wall. After installing them, the container felt less stagnant inside, and airflow was noticeably better. This does not turn the container into a climate-controlled space, and it will not eliminate every moisture problem by itself, but it does help reduce the closed-up, humid feeling that containers can get.The size is appropriate for adding passive ventilation without creating a large opening in the container wall. The vent shape also looks like it belongs on the container rather than looking like a random household vent was attached. The black/galvanized finish and low-profile design keep it fairly clean visually. I would still recommend using a good sealant around the edges during installation, even if the fit looks snug, because any exterior penetration in a container wall needs to be protected from water intrusion.This is a useful kit if you are storing tools, equipment, supplies, furniture, or anything else that should not sit in trapped heat and condensation. The key is installing it correctly and using enough vents for the container size. For a 20-foot container, the two-pack is a reasonable starting point. For a larger container or a container in a hot, humid area, adding more vents would make sense. It is a straightforward, practical upgrade that improves ventilation without needing powered fans or major modifications.
