These lamps are absolutely pretty and even more beautiful when lit. Assembly is not that difficult at all. The shades come flat but attach to the metal rim quite easily. You have to be a bit clever trying to coil the top cord in to the metal piece when assembling the light bulb pole in to the base. I don't realize you had to do that. There are no USB ports like I thought I read, and the turn on switch is the old school-rotary turn on switch which is not practical for me. Having those USB ports and touch lamp is important when using for night stand lights. Not overly heavy but a nice weight to them. Quality is questionable since the pair I received had several deep scratches and dents I could not overlook. Though pretty, these ARE NOWHERES NEAR WORTH $100!!!!!!!!! The price really needs to be more thoughtful of what you're receiving. They are not 29' as advertised either. I got these to replace a current set I had at 27' and these at 29' were significantly smaller!! I do like these but again, can't overlook the flaws.
