I've used a handful of self retracting fall protection, this is without question the nicest one, with a few bells and whistles to put it over the top. First, it works extremely well. It almost immediately stops when it feels a jerk on the rope, I've used some that let you fall up to six feet before engaging. Also, it's very easy to carry around to set up with the handle attached, and self locks. It comes in a variety of lengths, for me 50 is perfect, in over a decade I've only needed longer once. Everything pivots around, so you won't get tangled or get it wound up. At the end of the day, I trust my equipment and don't want to rely on someone else taking proper care of theirs and trusting my life to it. This is an excellent price for fall protection like this, and on top of it the model is extremely well made. I'd highly recommend this fall protection, it's compact enough it will fit in my PPE bucket, which has other types of fall protection in it.

Super heavy duty lanyard fall arrestor. The long length makes it suitable for very large roof surfaces. It's also a Class 1 SRL requiring anchor points above your d-ring height, so it's not suitable for foot level anchors which are typical on smaller roofs in the Midwest, where your building footprint isn't larger than 1,000 sqft.Has all the standard safety features, including safety hook with a locking mechanism. Tested the fall arrest mechanism a number of times and it seems to work well.
