This is one heavy duty set of ratchets. The retractable feature is pretty amazing, tbh. I have a lighter set I used to use to keeping my camping gear boxes secured to my roof rack, but they were always getting tangled and were a pain to set up - especially at the end of the trip when we just want to get home. These are fantastic. They come with clear instructions that are easy to follow, and once you do it a few times it's second nature. They are thick and very heavy duty, and give a tight secure fit every time. I feel confident on the highway knowing these are keeping my gear secured down.

This is my first set of auto retracting straps and I am extremely pleased. They are thick and heavy duty, and have a large durable handle for the ratchet. The retraction is strong and quick. The instructions were very easy to understand and had helpful pictures. The hooks are especially nice with the locking action and rubberized coating. Having 2 of these is perfect as you can strap from the top and sides. It also came with two bags for storage and gloves.These straps are heavy duty, made of carbon steel, nylon, and rubber. They have a 1150 pound load capacity with industrial strength 2 inch webbing and reinforced steel ratchets, with a 3500 pound break strength. They are ideal for my truck and trailer, moving equipment, and heavy duty hauling.The retractable feature eliminates the hassle of rolling up the webbing by hand after every use, which makes them easier to use. If I had to pick one thing to mention that is not positive it is that the straps are pretty heavy and are definitely too big to fit in your pocket. They are definitely more of an item you would put in the tool bag or under the seat in the truck. Overall I am very satisfied.

I have used traditional ratchet straps for years. They get the job done, but the loose excess strap is always a hassle to organize and can easily become tangled if it is not rolled or looped perfectly after every use.My wife previously bought me a pair of similar retractable ratchet straps, and they were a huge improvement. When I saw this set at an even better price, I decided to give them a try. They work just as well as the more expensive pair and are much quicker and cleaner to use than standard straps.The straps have a good amount of length, the ratcheting action feels strong and secure, and the retractable design keeps the unused webbing contained instead of leaving it hanging loose or tangled. They are easy to tighten, release, and store when the job is finished.Overall, these are a great value and a very convenient upgrade from traditional ratchet straps. They feel solid, work smoothly, and eliminate most of the frustration that comes with managing loose strap material.

These are impressive ratchet straps! I’ve been using ratchet straps constantly for the past several years to secure stuff as I travel, and they are always a pain to use. You always have extra strap dangling that you have to tie up, and then they become loose and start dragging on the ground when you drive, etc. These ratchet straps eliminate all the negatives!First of all, these are heavy duty straps, capable of securing nearly anything you have to transport. They are also extremely easy to use, and the best part is that there’s no loose end to worry about securing. I also love the fact that they come with independent storage bags and have carabiner-like locking attachment points. After using this style of strap, I’m never going to back to the old school ones.Overall, these straps are ultra high quality, easy to use, and are built like tanks. I’m 100% satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend them!

Until I saw these become available to me to review I actually had no idea they made something like this. I've always used the older style ratcheting tie downs that are a huge PITA to use by yourself. I do a lot of mowing at various properties which means I use tie downs throughout the week, always by myself, which is an acrobatic act when it comes to tying down my zero turn mower. I have to keep tension on the older tie downs or they fall off forcing me to go back around the trailer and start the whole thing all over again.Those days are over now with these retractable tie downs! These eliminate the problem of the tie down strap on the opposite side of the ratcheting mechanism falling off two ways. One, the hook includes a safety lock to keep it from falling off the trailer mount during hookup. Two, the self rewinding feature keeps tension on the strap to keep the strap hook from falling off in the first place. This is a huge time saver if you're trying to secure a load by yourself as I always am.Overall these are well made straps, but I did receive one strap with a slight tear forming on one side. Hopefully this doesn't spread out so I'll be keeping an eye on it. The strap itself looks just like a regular automotive style seat belt. I'm hoping it can withstand the sun and weather over the long term, but only time will tell.The self rewind mechanism works great. It did require a short learning curve for me at first, as I'm used to using the older style tie downs for the last 35 years. Once I got the hang of these though, I now know I'll never go back to the old style again. The ability to use these even one handed is a game changer.The only thing I worry about with these is how long the auto rewinding mechanisms can hold up outside in the weather. For that only time will tell and I will come back here to update my review if I have any issues. Currently though, I love these things and wish I would've had them 35 years ago when I had just started out needing tie downs!

Anyone owning a truck needs ratchet straps to hold things in place that are in the back of the truck or when pulling a trailer.. These have been the best we’ve had so far. Gone are the tangles of straps. The design of these straps allows you to retract the strap into the unit. The retraction is smooth and easy. Same with the ratchet action and the locking/unlocking mechanism to keep it in place.These straps are advertised to have a break strength of 3500 lbs. We haven’t tested that, and probably won’t, but the two times we’ve used them, they have held well. The S-hook on the ends appears to be durable. I like how it doesn't just hook, but has a clip to lock it in place. The straps are thick and are also resilient.It also comes with a set of loop straps, if you have need of them and a bag for each ratchet. Also, a pair of gloves that aren’t worth it. They don’t fit either mine or my husband’s hands. Way too small, so those won’t be used by anyone in our household.This equipment will be used often in our lives.

This is a quality set of nicely designed ratchet tie down straps. Some parts may look a little cheap (plastic coated hooks) but when you look closer you release they are actually solid steel hooks that are coated in plastic to keep them from rusting. There a a lot of nice touches like this with these straps.I have not had self-retracting straps before but I must say I like them. After a little playing around getting used to them they are easy to use. Push the center button to release them and pull out the side to extend to the length you need and release the button. Then just tighten them the traditional ratchet way and all is good. To loosen push the button again and to retract push the handle back and zoom.What you get in the box includes:- 2 complete ratchet sets- a load strap for each (two total)- an instruction sheet for each- a storage bag for each each- a pair of gloves (just because)The gloves are functional but probably not the kind of gloves you would use for strapping down cargo. They are somewhat thin, though they do have those little rubber grip things on the underside which are nice. The straps are 2 inches wide and give good sized hooks on them. The hooks feature the spring-loaded safety latch to keep what you have them hooked to secure. The only slightly misleading thing is that they advertise the break strength as 3,500 pounds; however that is NOT what you should use them for. The load rating of 1,150 pounds is what you should plan the limit being. The break strength is for those "oh crap" moments and not regular use.Overall though these look like they may become my main medium duty set of straps!!

Anyone who's owned regular ratchet straps knows the frustration, you go to grab them and they're a knotted, tangled disaster in the bottom of the truck box. The retractable feature on these was the whole reason I bought them, and it's exactly as convenient as I hoped. When I'm done, the strap winds back into the housing with no loose tail flapping around and no rat's nest to untangle next time.The build quality is genuinely heavy duty. The 2 inch webbing feels thick and tough, and with a 3,500 lb break strength rating I had zero worries securing my ATV and a load of furniture on a recent move. The ratchet mechanism is smooth and bites down hard, and the safety lock S hooks are a nice touch, they don't pop loose over bumps the way bare hooks sometimes do.I used both straps to tie down my quad for a trip down some rough backroads, and everything stayed rock solid the entire way. The 13 foot length gave me plenty of reach to anchor to different points on the trailer, and the auto retract made cleanup at the end about as painless as it gets.For the price of this 2 pack versus fighting with tangled straps every single time, this was a no brainer. If you haul anything on a trailer or in a truck bed, these did the trick for me and saved a ton of hassle. Highly recommend.
