Looking at the product photo, you might assume this is a complete insulation system, but it is strictly an outer sleeve. The inner insulation is not included, which is a bit misleading. You absolutely need to have existing foam or insulation on your pipes already for this to wrap around properly. Because my specific setup required a shorter length, I cut mine to custom fit.Taking scissors to it isn't ideal, but trimming it down actually helps with the efficiency of the final installation since you eliminate any loose, excess material that could otherwise trap moisture or flap around. As for the craftsmanship, the sewing is of decent quality. It isn't flawless, but it is good enough to hold together well once secured around the line. Internally, you can feel the heavier 600D fabric so feels like it will help insulate against the outdoor elements and save on my AC bill.Product is decent, but took a star off because it did not have the insulation I was expecting.

La verdad es que tiene pros y contras. Es una funda bastante completa y se nota que está pensada para aguantar el uso real fuera de casa. La tela trae varias capas, y aunque a proteger la tubería del frío o calor, no se siente que sea super duradero. No obstante, se siente bastante impermeable. En mi caso la consideré práctica porque mide 6 pies x 10.2 pulgadas y, al ser cortable, pude ajustarla mejor al tamaño de mi instalación sin pelearme tanto.El mayor pro es que fácilmente y que queda bastante firme una vez colocada, sin sentir que se va a desarmar con el tiempo. Como contra, al ser “funda” para aislamiento y no un sistema rígido, depende de qué tan bien la ajustes para que quede bien cubierta y no queden partes expuestas.

I’m not especially handy, but this was very straightforward to install. I just wrapped it around the pipe, tightened the four straps, and cut off the section I didn’t need. The adjustable design was helpful because my AC lines are not perfectly straight or all the same thickness.The cover feels sturdy, not like a cheap plastic sleeve. The outside material seems able to handle rain and sun, while the padded inside gives the pipes an extra layer of insulation. After several weeks outside, it is still secure and hasn’t started coming apart.I looked at similar foam pipe covers, but most of them seemed too thin or required tape to keep them closed. This one can be opened again if I need to inspect the lines, which is a big plus. It may help reduce heat transfer and prevent wasted energy, but the main reason I like it is that it protects the pipes and makes the whole area look much neater.
