[Size: 80 Grit -1 Pound]
This is a useful 80 grit aluminum oxide media with a consistent size that makes it easy to use for general blasting work. It is aggressive enough to be effective without being excessively coarse, so it is a versatile choice for surface preparation and removing stubborn material. The media itself feels consistent in quality, which is important for predictable results, and it is easy to pour and work with. Aluminum oxide is also durable compared with media that breaks down almost immediately, so I can get useful work out of it without feeling wasteful. Overall, it is effective and a good value for small

The "#80 Grit Aluminum Oxide Blasting Media 1 Pound" is good quality blasting medium. What I don't like about it is the price of almost $10 for a very small amount. Even using it in my counter top blaster for small parts it went through it really fast. I would not order again based on the value. It comes in a plastic canister that does keep it dry. The sizing is very consistent and reminds me of a 20x50 mesh product, although I didn't run it through a sieve to check, that is with the "eye test." The one pound product would be good for a very small project, not for car restoration that I usually use my media for.

This looks identical to the stuff I can get at Harbor Freight, but this stuff is way more expensive. I got such a little amount that it is impossible to do a real-world test to see how quickly it breaks down versus its rust removal ability. The test I did do removed surface rust just fine, but 1 lb just isn't enough. If you live close enough to a Harbor Freight, I'd get that instead.
[Size: 80 Grit -1 Pound]
This blasting media works really well for rust removal and surface prep. The 80 grit aluminum oxide is strong and cuts through paint and corrosion quickly, leaving a clean finish on metal. It flows smoothly through the blaster and seems durable enough for multiple uses. Great value for small projects or auto restoration work.
[Size: 80 Grit -1 Pound]
I used this aluminum oxide in my blast cabinet while cleaning up a few automotive parts, and it performed exactly as I was hoping. It cuts quickly, removes rust and old paint efficiently, and leaves a nice, even surface ready for primer or paint. The grit size is very consistent, which helps produce a uniform finish without random deep scratches. It flowed well through my blast cabinet without clogging, and I didn't run into any feeding issues during use.One thing I like about aluminum oxide is that it holds up well to multiple uses, and this media is no exception. After screening it and removing the debris, I was able to reuse it several times while still getting good cutting performance.Dust levels were also reasonable compared to some cheaper blasting media I've tried, making cleanup a little easier after the job was finished. The one-pound package isn't a huge amount, but it's perfect for smaller restoration jobs, cleaning hardware, or testing a new blasting setup before buying larger quantities.Pros: consistent grit size, aggressive cutting action, removes rust and paint quickly, reusable, flows well through a blast cabinet, produces an even finish, good quality abrasiveCons: the one-pound bag goes fairly quickly on larger projects, so you'll want a larger quantity if you're blasting bigger parts or multiple piecesOverall: this is quality aluminum oxide blasting media that performs exactly as expected. It cuts efficiently, lasts through multiple uses, and is a great choice for automotive work, metal restoration, or general shop projects.

Good quality

I know, how can you get excited about blasting media, well, buy this product and try it. Right off the bat the packaging hinted at a quality product. The clear plastic tube was sealed to prevent moisture penetration. The consistency of the blast media was fantastic. I would recommend using this in a contained system or have a way to recoup the media and reuse. I used a portable hand held blaster with rubber cups that contain the media and funnel into a holding bag. It will be interesting to see how long this media will last. Take a look at the pictures, I had a rusty axle with different surfaces - smooth, medium & fine splines. I wanted to see how well this product could get into smaller intricate areas. The photos show 1 pass only, very impressive! The price is very competitive for the quality, looking forward to trying the other grits available.
