These handles look sharp. They are a matte dark black and a simple, sleek design. I like the handles because they have a texture on them that makes them nice to grip and they are easy to twist to open the door.This came as a set of four which is nice because then we can have all the doors in our upstairs match now.They installed easily, as easy as any door knob. They fit in the standard holes and spacing I already had for the one I removed which made it nice.I also like that they have a simple push button option to lock the door from the inside and it just pops open when you twist the handle.

I installed them on white 6-panel doors with black hinges, and the combination looks fantastic. It is easy to replace door handles and is a simple way to refresh your space. These install just like every other brand and fit perfectly! In comparison to three other brands I have laying around this house in a similar style, they are much heavier. I really like the matte gold finish and they really showcase my pine doors that have a honey maple finish. The knurling really adds a high end look and for me, sets these handles apart (in a very good way). The locking mechanism will be either on the top or bottom depending on the direction of the handle which is determined by whether your door swings in or out.So why only four stars? I am a little uneasy about the locking mechanism. I installed one set on the guest bathroom door and I am a little uneasy about how guests will respond. In other sets that I have installed, when you lock the door, the handles do not move. It is an easy way to determine whether or not the door is locked. With these, depressing the button to lock the door only prevents the outside handle and not the inside one from turning. Yes, it effectively prevents someone from entering, but it may be confusing to someone who is unfamiliar with the locking mechanism. In fact, when I first installed them, I thought the lock didn't work because I could move the inside handle. Only after studying them for a few minutes and seeing how the mechanism actually works did I realize the lock only prevents the outside handle from moving. Hopefully this will not create any guest confusion. Otherwise, I think they present like a high end upgrade at a modest price.

The 4 sets of sturdy metal handles are all identical. They have a matte or brushed gold finish. Portions of the handle have a knurled finish. This feature is nice because it makes it easy to grasp without slipping. The handles operate smoothly. It isn’t difficult to turn them. They take as much force to turn as my old handles (which ran in line with most handles I’d say).The metal feels very sturdy and strong.The handles have a nice, modern look too. I really prefer this style of handle over a round knob. I can now open doors with my elbow, if my hands are full. You don’t need fingers to grasp and turn, only something (such a laundry basket) to push down on lever and push open the door.They have locks underneath the inside handle. When you open the door it unlocks automatically. I like this feature because no children can accidentally lock the bathroom with no one in it. If someone is locked inside and can’t turn the handle, you can unlock by pushing a long, narrow item in a small exterior hole. This unlocks the door from the outside. The hole is virtually unnoticeable, which I like.Installation was straightforward and easy. My bf did it with a regular screwdriver in about 10 minutes. You can flip the handles around so that they can face the direction you need them to, while still keeping the lock on the inside.I like that there are enough handles in this set to do 4 doors.I am very happy with these handles.
