We got this specifically for a door to our shop which does not have an awning or cover of any kind. When it rains the water in the doorway comes down, getting us soaked. Since installing it we have been very pleased with how effective it is keeping the drips above the doorway away from the doorway. This was very easy to install and took just minutes, an easy do it yourself project. This is very sturdy and I see this lasting for a very long time. I installed this aluminum rain drip guard above the door of my chicken coop to solve a problem I'd been dealing with for a long time. Every time it rained, water would drip directly onto me while I was working on the lower side of the coop. I mounted this drip cap with a slight angle so it directs the water off to one side instead of letting it fall straight down in front of the door.Installation was quick and straightforward, and it worked exactly as I had hoped from the first rainfall. The aluminum is noticeably thicker and heavier than I expected, so I have confidence it will hold up well through heavy rain, snow, and Wisconsin winters without bending or warping.This would work great above exterior doors, windows, sheds, coops, or anywhere you need to redirect rainwater. It's a simple product, but it completely solved my problem and has made using my chicken coop much more pleasant during wet weather.

This rain guard is ideal for putting over an exterior door off my teens room. My house is an older ranch with limited options for awnings to protect from rain, but this rain guard is perfect for how low my roof is off the doors! The aluminum is nice quality & lightweight. The edges are a bit sharp but not terrible. My only actual complaint is the supplied screws are on the short side and not the best for holding up to New England snow. Beyond that though, this is great! Even the predrilled holes are bevelled and well drilled. My teen will be very happy to have a little rain protection when getting home from school!

I'm not ready to install this one quite yet but it is quite straightforward as a unit-Very solidly stiff aluminum piece which won't bend or rust and should keep all but the most diagonal rain off your door or window as we've all had at least one door without a roof needing such an item as this-I'll be using longer screws than supplied as the rainstorms I get seem to be sudden and massive and I just want to mount this once and forever. Also, I'll be running a nice bead of caulk along the top edge as well and this will just be a forever solution all around-This is a very solid piece as you can see in my pictures and video and a perfect solution to these odd issues we have
