These brackets exceeded my expectations out of the box with their matte black finish, modern industrial aesthetic, smooth edges… just perfect with no visible flaws in the coating. Noticeably heavy and solid, indicates high-grade thick steel rather than hollow or flimsy metal. These are made for the heaviest duty of projects! Robust carbon steel, rust-resistant powder coat, feels completely rigid under hand pressure. True to the 4"×4" post specification with a precise 45-degree angle, pre-drilled holes are properly aligned. Designed to add massive corner stability to a pergola or gazebo; while I am still waiting for final installation, the rigid structure and thick gauge guarantee it will lock wooden joints securely in place. When we held them in place the fit was perfect… looks like a custom design. These 2 pieces gave me the courage on pulling the trigger to make this project double the size. It makes it clear that it will be braced well with an easy install. I honestly think these could make the hardest project easy for even then beginner DIY’er. These will be worth their weight in gold. The price is more than fair for the value. Especially when compared to the prices of others on the market.

These heavy-duty 45-degree angle support brackets are exceptionally well-built, featuring thick steel and a durable black powder coating that stands up nicely to outdoor weather. The curved-arc design adds a modern touch while effectively distributing load and significantly reducing wobbling on posts and beams. Installation is straightforward thanks to the pre-drilled holes and included hardware, making them ideal for reinforcing pergolas, gazebos, and other patio framing. While overall a fantastic and solid hardware upgrade, just double-check your lumber dimensions to ensure a snug fit before screwing them in.

Not super heavy duty but pretty strong and finished nicely.

I like to make my own equipment around here for building stuff but these are no easy task to replicate so leave it to the pros to build them. These are easy to use and the angle is good. They are not super heavy or thickly built hence the 4 stars instead of 5 but working in conjunction with others they should hold up fine and the coating I believe is powdercoat so hopefully outdoor use will fine for them in the direct sunlight.

These brackets are well made and have a nice, clean appearance once installed. The black powder-coated finish looks great and gives a pergola or gazebo a more finished, professional look. The coating also seems like it should hold up well outdoors and resist rust over time.Installation was pretty straightforward. The pre-drilled holes lined up well, and the included hardware made the process fairly simple. I also appreciated that the brackets have built-in drainage as part of the design. It's a small detail, but it's nice knowing water isn't likely to collect inside the bracket and potentially cause problems over time. The steel feels solid, and the overall quality appears to be good. That said, I haven't had them installed long enough to really comment on their long-term strength or durability under heavy loads. They certainly feel sturdy, but only time will tell how they perform after years of weather exposure and supporting a structure. My biggest hesitation is the price. At this price point, they do feel a little expensive for a two-piece bracket set. The quality is definitely there, and the finish and design are nice, but I still found myself wishing they were a bit more affordable.Overall, these are attractive, well-built brackets that install easily and include thoughtful features like integrated drainage. While I can't yet speak to their long-term structural performance, my first impression is positive. If you don't mind paying a little extra for a quality-looking bracket with a durable finish, these are worth considering.
