This little guy is too cool for school. I have tons of these solar statues and gnomes made in the beautiful Quanzhou City in Fujian Province and they are all top-quality products. I have a whole gnome village outside and they hold up to the sun and rain and snow and curious rabbits very well. This coffee-drinking turtle stays in the house with me, though. His light is very dim, but solar charging works well and if it does not come on it is because these are all programmed to only come on when the battery is fully charged.

I originally got this to go in our garden, but now I am thinking about giving it to my dad for Father's Day. Unfortunately, my wife immediately fell in love with it, so it looks like I may need to order a second one.The turtle arrived very well packaged inside a cardboard box surrounded by thick Styrofoam. The upper corner of the shipping box was crushed during transit, but the statue itself was completely protected. In fact, it was packed so securely that I had to break apart some of the Styrofoam just to remove it.The measurements matched the listing at approximately 3.5" D x 3.4" W x 4.9" H, making it a good size for a garden bed, porch table, desk, shelf, or windowsill.What impressed me most was the amount of detail. The textured shell, scaled skin, facial features, and little coffee mug all give it a lot of personality. The paint application looks hand-finished, with darker accents that help highlight the texture throughout the piece. From a few feet away, it looks much nicer than I expected for a resin garden ornament.The solar panel is integrated into the back of the shell and charges during the day. This gorgeous little turtle is just the sweetest thing ever! It has a small enough light that emanates from his tiny little coffee cup, its about 5 inches tall and maybe 4 inches wide. It is completely solar so you do not need to charge it, just set it in the window or direct sunlight for about 6 hours and you have a full charge. its not heavy at all. The glow of the light is very comforting. Right now it is sitting in my window until my plants bloom in my raised garden bed, then i will place him in there! It is also waterproof.
