Brighten your day with this shop light

This single tube flourescent fixture-looking LED shop light fit the bill perfectly for my cramped storae area. Easy to wire into an existing bulb location although the pigtails were very short. Mounting was easy with the provided clips and the light itself is very adjustable, with selectable brightness and color temperature to match other fixtures. Most fixtures this type are only 4 feet, and this 8 foot one saved me from having to mount two fixtures.

Bright, Easy Upgrade for My WorkshopBright, Easy Upgrade for My Workshop

I’m replacing an older light in my workshop ( shown in photo) with this 8-foot fixture . I really like that it offers three wattage settings (30W/50W/80W) and five selectable color temperatures, so I can adjust the lighting to what works best for whatever I’m doing in the shop. The dimming feature is another nice touch.Installation is straightforward for a hardwired shop-light setup, and the fixture has a clean, commercial look that fits well in a workshop or garage. It also has the option to link fixtures together, which could be useful for someone lighting a larger space. For my workshop, this is exactly the type of upgrade I was looking for. Much better coverage and brighter working light than the old fixture, without having to install a bunch of smaller lights. I definitely recommend it for a garage, workshop, or warehouse.

Good Amount of LightGood Amount of Light

I wanted a better light to replace a couple of other lights in a dark area of the shop and this one is getting the job done. Its compact size lets me snake it along the ceiling past a couple of racks and then hang it by myself. My phone's image sensor dampened down the brightness in the photo but I can tell you that its bright enough to actually replace not only the two light I had up, but also a third light that covered an area that goes off to the side. I have my light tied into an switch with others and it works just fine and I don't notice any flickering or other disturbing issues that sometimes come along with basic LED lights. One final note, if you want to string a couple of these together they have the plugs on both ends and show you the steps to do that as well. You really can't go wrong with these lights and unless it prematurely fails, I can't see any reasons to not recommend it. If it does fail I will be sure to come back and update my review.

Easy to install

[Number of Items: 1]
I installed this 8FT LED shop light in my garage, and it made an immediate difference. The brightness is excellent, the 5CCT selectable feature is genuinely useful, and the dimming option makes it easy to set the right level of light for different tasks. What I liked most is the flexibility. Being able to choose between 80W, 50W, and 30W means you can balance output and energy use, and the hardwired, linkable design makes it a practical choice for larger spaces like workshops, warehouses, or utility areas. The light is clean and even, without the harsh, patchy look some shop lights have. It feels like a much more professional upgrade than the typical basic garage fixture, and the ETL listing adds confidence in the build quality and safety.Installation was straightforward if you’re already comfortable with hardwired fixtures, but this is still a better fit for someone who wants a permanent lighting solution rather than a plug-in light. For the right space, it’s a strong value and a very worthwhile improvement.

These shop lights are a huge upgrade for any garage or workshop. The selectable brightness levels and color temperatures make it easy to customize the lighting depending on the task, whether it's detailed bench work, automotive repairs, or general storage. The fixture feels solid, and the light output is bright and evenly distributed without noticeable dark spots. Being dimmable is another nice feature, especially if you don't always need maximum brightness. The linkable design is also convenient for larger spaces since multiple fixtures can be connected for consistent lighting across the room. This is an excellent choice for garages, warehouses, workshops, or utility spaces where good lighting really matters. The installation is straightforward, and the finished result looks clean and professional.

Bright Customizable Shop Lighting

[Number of Items: 1]
I recently received this 8FT LED Shop Light and it has been a game changer in my workspace. The three power levels from 30W to 80W along with the five selectable color temperatures let me dial in the perfect brightness and tone for whatever task is at hand. Setup was straightforward with the included hardware and it links up nicely for a clean continuous run across the ceiling. The aluminum build feels solid and the frosted diffuser spreads light evenly without any glare or flicker which makes long hours much easier on the eyes. It replaced older fixtures and cuts energy use noticeably while delivering up to 10,000 lumens that fill the whole area. Even with kids playing nearby the consistent comfortable lighting helps keep everything well lit and safe.Overall performance and reliability have been excellent so far with smooth dimming and no maintenance worries. Highly recommend for garages workshops or any large space needing dependable illumination. 🔧💡

Reviewing DAKASON 8FT LED Shop Light: This light fixture is feature packed with five different color temperature choices, three wattage choices, and the ability to operate over a very wide range of input voltages. I like to see if the product claims are inflated in any way so I powered a light from a variable transformer through a wattmeter to see how it would perform. I took watt readings at 100V, 120V, and 140V with all 15 combinations of switch positions at each voltage. You will find the results in a picture accompanying this review but a short summary is that at the 30 and 50 watt settings the power consumed was very close to the watts selected without regard to the color temperature position or the input voltage. At the 80 watt switch position the fixture reliably consumed right around 70 watts independent of voltage or color temperature so the 80 watt claim may be a bit inflated.Mounting is simple with the clips that are supplied. I tried to get a picture showing light distribution using a piece of paper cut to go over the fixture but it is much easier to observe in person. I crudely marked angles on the paper and the light appears to be at full intensity at the 30 degree angle from horizontal so the light will cover around 60 degrees to either side of the fixture when on the ceiling. When watching the light as you change color temperature it appears there are two sets of LEDs with color at 3000K and 6500K and in-between colors are obtained by blending the two sets. This means that at the 5000K setting both sets of LEDs are operating around 50% intensity so lamp life expectancy is probably maximized.Operation of the light is rock solid over voltage variation, the color temperature range is very wide, and mechanically the lights appear quite sturdy. The light does have indication of Intertek certification to UL and CSA standards which is something important to look for (picture). If you have any need to adjust color or intensity these lights deserve strong consideration. If fixed color and intensity are all you need there are less expensive options. I did subtract one star from the rating because my measured 70W was not the claimed 80W.After the initial review I added a dimmer designed for LED operation and can report that the light performance with a dimmer is among the best I have ever seen. The range of light output is very wide and I have yet to see a single flicker. Great results!
