Good wire, good price!Good wire, good price!

[Size: 10 FT, Size: 10 FT]
This YDDECW wire pack consists of three 10-foot length winds of 6 AWG THHN stranded full copper wire with an 8-gauge green ground. The nylon case is slick enough to pull easily through EMT or PVC conduit, and the PVC inner provides good strand insulation. The wire is quality inside and out, with appropriate specs and states that it is “RoHS compliant” which for wire means the wire meets the Restriction of Hazardous Substances requirements, which is supposed to limit certain harmful materials in the wire and its components. That is nice but really is more for the safety of the manufacturer(s) than the end user. It is however NEC color compliant, but it is not UL listed if your codes require it.It will save you some money over purchasing from the big boxes, and it is good quality, safe wire that has the ratings clearly printed along the entire casing length. This is my second set of 10-foot 6 AWG wires, as for my project I needed 8 more feet to finish the run, so I ordered this wire set to complete the task, and I have no regrets from ordering this YDDECW set.

[Size: 10 FT, Size: 10 FT]
This product is listed as "10 FT 6 AWG THHN Stranded Copper Wire – Black, Red, White with 8 AWG Green Ground – 600V Color-Coded Building Wire for Residential, Commercial, Industrial & HVAC Systems." It includes 4 10 foot coils of wire in 4 different colors, Red, Black, White, and Green. Each wire is marked with THHN, THWN, THWN-2, and "E210924 (UL)". along with foot markings and 600 volts. The Red, Black, and White are marked with 6AWG. The Green is marked with 8AWG. The 6AWG wire consist of 19 strands of what appears to be pure oxygen free copper. The wire and insulation appear to be of good quality. The length of each wire is 10 foot. At the time of this review this comes out to about $1.50 per foot per wire. Longer lengths reduce that cost and give a better value. The close up photos of the red wire makes it look orange, but it is really red like in the more distant photos.

Multi strand wire, in a plastic/vinyl cladding.Cost is much lower per foot compared to material at local big box stores.I would feel safe using this for 10' 220v run.As near as I can tell the wire is of good quality and substantial build. The wire is in four 10' lengths, white, black, red and the smaller green ground wire.Good low cost option for short runs.

Excellent 6 AWG Wire for My Golf Cart Inverter InstallationExcellent 6 AWG Wire for My Golf Cart ...

[Size: 10 FT, Size: 10 FT]
I obtained this wire kit for a low-voltage, high-current application rather than traditional building wiring, and it performed exactly as I had hoped. I converted my Cherokee Royal EV golf cart into a mobile power station by installing a 12V 110Ah AGM battery, a pure sine wave inverter, and a 200W solar panel on the roof. The goal was to have 120VAC available anywhere on my property for power tools, battery chargers, work lights, and other equipment without having to run long extension cords. For the connection between the AGM battery and the inverter, I needed cable that could safely carry substantial current with minimal voltage drop. The run is only about four feet, so 6 AWG stranded copper was an appropriate choice. Even under heavier inverter loads, I have not noticed any significant voltage loss attributable to the wiring. The insulation quality is excellent. The PVC and nylon jacket feels durable and resists abrasion when routing the conductors through the vehicle. The color coding also made installation much easier since there was no chance of confusing conductors while wiring the system. The included green ground conductor was a nice addition for properly bonding the inverter chassis. One characteristic worth mentioning is that this cable is stiffer than many battery cables I've worked with. That's not a defect—it's simply the nature of THHN building wire. If your installation requires making several tight bends inside a confined enclosure, you'll need to plan your routing before cutting the wire. In my installation, both the battery and inverter are securely mounted in fixed locations, so the reduced flexibility wasn't an issue at all.Compared to the fine-strand battery cable I've used in automotive applications, this wire takes a little more effort to dress neatly, but it holds its shape well once positioned. For stationary equipment, that actually became an advantage because the conductors stay exactly where they're routed instead of shifting around.A tip for anyone using this for inverter installations: leave a little extra length at each end before terminating the conductors. The additional slack makes it much easier to remove the inverter or battery later for maintenance without having to replace the cables. This kit is ideal for permanent installations such as inverter wiring, generators, HVAC equipment, shop machinery, or other fixed electrical projects where durability is more important than extreme flexibility. If you're wiring something with constant movement or vibration, a fine-strand battery cable may be a better choice.Overall, the wire delivered exactly what I needed. The copper conductors appear to be high quality, the insulation is rugged, the color coding simplifies installation, and the 6 AWG size provided ample current-carrying capacity for my inverter without introducing noticeable voltage drop. It turned out to be an excellent fit for building a self-contained mobile power system on my EV cart.

THHN for equipment whips in conduitTHHN for equipment whips in conduit

[Size: 10 FT, Size: 10 FT]
This set is great for 220V equipment whips when placed in watertight conduit. I'm using this for pool pump equipment but will work equally as well for HVAC, Dryers, EV Chargers, etc. It's pure stranded copper 6ga for the Lines and Neutral, 8 ga for the ground. You get 10ft of each which is perfect size.Wires have the appropriate markings for THHN. It's an ok value at this price, especially considering that tri-wire sets are sometimes hard to find locally. Arrived well packaged and individually coil wrapped, no kinks.

10 FT 6 AWG THHN Stranded Copper Wire – Black, Red, White with 8 AWG Green Ground – 600V Color-Coded Building Wire for Residential, Commercial, Industrial & HVAC SystemsVisit the YDDECW StoreIf you have ever tried to purchase smaller lengths of heavier AWG copper wire from local sources? You know the "by the foot" charge can be very steep. In my locality my electric supply house only offers large gauge wire in black. You use colored tape to identify to separate the loads, neutral & ground. While this has been acceptable in most local codes across the US, many states and localities are discouraging or now forbidding the practice. I have found wiring available on Amazon and in particular this seller's products to be equal to what is available locally. It has be a long time since I could purchase domestic wiring from any source.YDDECW sells wire of all types. That is what they do. From what I can see they use 100" copper, not copper coated. Insulation appears to be same thickness and quality as my local supply. One important advantage when buying from this seller is the attention to detail in packaging. THHN wire is used in conduit and other enclosed uses. Long term exposure to air, rapid temp. changes will cause the wire to become brittle and insulation can crack. Inside conduit, dry and limited exposure to air circulation provides the right conditions to insure many, many years of safe service. YDDECW delivers their product in a resealable heavy duty bag, in addition, please note additional plastic encloses each bundle of wire. These simple things means you will have "fresh" wire even if left on the shelf for several years. You also save a bit by using 8AWG wire for ground [green] purposes. Use larger gauge wire 6AWG for loads, grid and neutral for most residential length connection of 50AMP or less circuits. Please consult wire load vs length information widely available online for your particular projectThe available of color coded wire at a very good price and added storage options make this bundle a great buy.

Quality wire to have around or for a projectQuality wire to have around or for a project

[Size: 10 FT, Size: 10 FT]
THHN stands for thermoplastic high heat nylon covered wire and it is typically the go to (building standard) for most line voltage and higher cabling operations. It is rated to 600 volts by the seller. It is single conductor (but you get 4 color coded rolls of 6 AWG) but stranded--which makes it a bit easier to bend when necessary. At 6 AWG, this is hefty stuff and can be a bit hard to work with but if you are an electrician, you will appreciate having these rolls around and likely will be pleased with the excellent quality. I do not see any national testing lab designation on the wire or accompanying it in the package so if this is a concern, this may not be the wire for you.Wire with the THHN designation is heat resistant and impervious to many chemicals. I do not think it is automatically rated for direct burial but the practice has been to build that designation in-in most cases. Not sure whether this spool has the extra spec or not.I have not seen this AWG at my local big box store so having it in my shop for an emergency was my motivator.Overall pleased with my order.
