Very sturdy and actually gives you the clean floating lookThese are a really nice bracket system, especially if you want the look of a floating shelf or mantel without seeing any of the hardware. The brackets are substantial and very sturdy, but the way they fit inside the hollow portion of the shelf allows the hardware to be completely concealed. Once everything is in place, the shelf can sit flush against the wall with no awkward visible gap.I also really like the stability of this design. Floating shelves can sometimes look great but feel a little questionable when you actually put weight on them. These give you a much more solid support point inside the hollow space while still keeping that clean, minimal appearance.They would also be great if you're building your own hollow or box-style floating shelves. You can design the shelf around the bracket or notch the interior where needed so everything is hidden once the shelf is installed. That gives you quite a bit of flexibility instead of having to design around visible brackets.The brackets themselves are heavy-duty and well made, and the kit came with the hardware and pieces needed for installation. I found them straightforward to work with, and once installed everything felt secure, level and solid.For me, the combination of strength, stability and truly hidden hardware is what makes these stand out. You get the appearance you want from a floating shelf without having to sacrifice the support behind it. I ordered these to mount a shelf in my family room. First impression of this shelf brackets kit is that it's pretty much all inclusive! Not only do you get the shelf brackets to mount 1-2 floating shelves, but you get all the hardware needed to make it happen. These shelf brackets are very well made and durable. The size of these shelf brackets is good for my needs and definitely hold a good amount of weight, and keep my shelf secure and stable. The mounting hardware that is included is of decent quality as well. My only criticism is the fact that these brackets are square and require a little more effort to prepare your shelving to fit over these brackets. Other than that, this kit is all that they claim to be and look nice!

These floating shelf brackets work as intended and hold up a good amount of weight. Once installed, they completely disappear behind the wood to give you that clean, seamless floating look. The metal feels heavy-duty and the welds are solid.My only complaint is that the instructions could be better. The steps are a bit vague, and the diagram doesn't clearly explain the best drill bit sizes to use for the wall anchors. If you have some DIY experience, you can figure it out easily enough, but beginners might struggle a bit to get everything perfectly level on the first try.

This is a great little kit to buy for hanging a floating shelf. You will have to build the shelf per the measurements provided in the instructions so there is a little extra work, but the instructions are very clear and I loved that the kit came with the tools that are needed. It’s a great little all in one kit to buy. I think the quality of the bars is sturdy enough to hang that size shelf and the instructions are pretty self-explanatory. Nothing is too hard to understand or complete.

I would recommend that you measure carefully, and anchors these into studs, and make sure the shelf material is compatible before installing. I was refurbishing an old mantle that was not holding up to the weight on it. With all my years of woodworking experience I tell you this is not the kind of project where guessing is a good idea. When installed correctly, the hidden brackets make the finished project look much more professional. For someone who builds, organizes, or upgrades spaces, these are very useful. Another nice element is the fact that it comes with the equipment to do the full project, so if you dont have all the tools the basic ones are provided.

Just moved into a new house and the fireplaces are in need of some major repair, so I’m rebuilding everything fireboxes, surrounds, and both mantles. I’ve hung mantles every way possible over the years, but I’ve never used this style of hidden tubular bracket before. Honestly, I’m impressed.These brackets are basically chunks of rectangular steel tubing welded into a box frame. If you know anything about steel, you know how hard it is to bend tubing. These feel like tiny I‑beams. Super solid.The hardware kit is very generous, drywall anchors, toggle bolts, & concrete anchors. They also provide you up 12 mm paddle bit, and easy to use template, and a pre-drill bit. I’m hitting studs, so I won’t need half of it, but it’s nice that they include everything. The install is simple mount the brackets, build a hollow box mantle, slide it on, tighten the set screws. Way easier than the old peg-and-epoxy method or messing with a ledger board/French cleat. Even the packaging is set up smart.I grabbed the 6‑inch set for a shallow mantle in the bedroom and it’s exactly what I needed. I’ll probably grab a longer set for the living room once I get down there. Great option for hollow mantles or floating shelves, very sneaky setup and very strong.
