Snip, Strip, Crimp, Done

[Color: 7028 Green]
4 stars: Pass Through RJ45 All-In-One Modular EthernetPicked this up to re-terminate a few runs in my garage after a remodel. First cable I crimped, the pass-through design made it dead simple to verify wire order before squeezing down - you can actually see each conductor poking out the front of the connector, trim the excess, and crimp with confidence. The ratchet gives this satisfying click when it's fully seated, so there's no guessing whether you applied enough pressure. The adjustable strain latch is a nice touch too. I've used cheaper crimpers that mangle the boot or don't quite lock the connector housing, but this one has been consistent across maybe a dozen terminations so far. Shielded and unshielded connectors both crimp clean. Every cable passed my tester on the first try.One gripe - there's basically no documentation in the box. No quick-start card, no wire order diagram, nothing. Luckily it's a near-exact copy of a pretty common crimper design, so YouTube had me covered in about two minutes. Still, if this is your first time making cables you'd be left guessing what the strain latch adjustment even does. For around $17 it's a solid tool once you figure it out, just don't expect any hand-holding.

Compact, Sharp, and Works Great!

[Color: 7028 Green]
This is a really nice crimping tool, especially if you're making your own Ethernet cables. I use crimping tools like this at work all the time, and this one definitely stands out. I like that it's compact, it doesn't feel bulky in your hand or take up much room in a tool bag, but it still feels sturdy and well made.Having the cutter, stripper, and crimper all built into one tool makes the whole process much quicker. The blades are nice and sharp, giving clean cuts and stripping the cable without a lot of effort. It also comes with a couple of extra blades, which is nice for the longevity of the tool.It works great with pass-through RJ45 connectors, trimming of the wires nice and flush as you crimp. The action feels smooth and solid, and I've been getting clean, consistent crimps without having to start all over.I'm impressed with this one. Having used this type of tool regularly at work, I appreciate one that's a great price, compact, comfortable, and simply does the job right. An easy five stars!

Really Helpful Tool for Cabling

[Color: 7028 Green]
I picked this up for making a few custom Ethernet cables, and it has been a great addition to my tool bag. The fit and finish are better than I expected at this price: it feels solid in the hand, the grips are comfortable, and the mechanism has a reassuringly sturdy action without feeling clunky. The handle lock is also handy for storage, so it is not constantly trying to become the sharpest thing in the bag.Using pass-through connectors with it has made the whole process far less fussy. I can line up the conductors, double-check the order before committing, then crimp and trim in one motion. The cut ends have come out neat, and the finished plugs have seated securely on the cables I have made. Having the cutting, stripping, and crimping functions together keeps the workbench less cluttered, which is always a small miracle. For DIY network projects or keeping a few custom patch cables on hand, this tool has been an easy five-star purchase. Great Value for the money.

Clean Shearing and Flawless Crimp Cycles

[Color: 7028 Green]
If you regularly route network drops, upfit custom vehicle command racks, or manage data infrastructure termination, you know that standard non-pass-through RJ45 connectors are an absolute nightmare of alignment errors and wasted time. This Pass-Through RJ45 All-In-One Modular Crimping Tool is a masterpiece of precision tool design, turning tedious custom Ethernet termination into a fast, mistake-free process. Why This All-In-One Pass-Through Tool Belongs in Your Kit:Flawless Pass-Through Shearing Action: The standout feature is the ultra-sharp, built-in flush cutting blade at the tool's head. As you compress the handles to crimp the copper pins, the blade automatically shears the excess wire extensions perfectly flush with the face of the plug. This completely eliminates internal wire shorts and ensures maximum conductor depth for a perfect data connection every time.True Universal Cat5, Cat6, and Cat7 Compatibility: This tool completely eliminates the clutter of carrying multiple dedicated crimpers. The die block is precision-machined to accommodate standard and heavy-shielded connectors alike. From thinner Cat5e lines right up to thick, high-bandwidth Cat6 and shielded Cat7 cables with internal foil grounding wrappers, it crimps the primary contacts and locks the external strain-relief tabs cleanly with zero crushed plastic.All-In-One Stripping, Cutting, and Crimping: You don’t need to juggle separate wire strippers or utility knives on a ladder. The integrated blade layout handles outer jacket stripping and precise conductor trimming directly on the tool chassis. It keeps your workspace highly streamlined and speeds up your production termination times dramatically.High-Leverage Ratcheting Mechanism: The heavy-duty ratcheting architecture is exceptionally smooth. It forces you to complete a full, uniform compression cycle before releasing, ensuring every single pin is driven down with identical mechanical depth. The ergonomic non-slip grips handle high-repetition shop abuse beautifully, drastically dropping hand and wrist fatigue during multi-port patch panel deployments.

Superb Materials & Construction, But No Source for Addtional BladesSuperb Materials & Constructio...

[Color: 7028 Green, Color: 7028 Green]
Hoping that I am not too critical with my 4-star rating. However, even though this tool is made EXTREMELY well, I find that there are 2 design flaws. The first is that a combination of no adjustment, and is engineered too large a diameter to effectively strip the outer insulation for my CAT-5, solid conductor Ethernet cable. I needed to rotate it around a bit, withdraw it from the crimper, and then manually finish scoring the outer jacket to remove it. There are some applications where I believe it to be necessary to use solid wire. It took quite a bit of force to perform the combination of crimping and cutting. Surprisingly so. Secondly, a longer handle might be a bit less convenient to carry around, but certainly less force would be required, and if performing many crimps, it could get tiresome (as well as leading to carpel tunnel). The quality of this tool is simply superb. The heavy-duty, solid steel and high impact plastic, plus a softer palm grip area, as well as fabrication with "c-clips" and spring steel rods so that repair is actually possible is GREAT! Kudos! The locking mechanism is both a space saver, as well as safety mechanism from exposed blades. HOWEVER, even though a spare blade for cut/strip, and a spare blade for trimming, how can we get replacement blades? Especially if used for solid conductor Ethernet cable, the blades will not last too long. The seller's link to their products does not list any replacement blades. To me, this is a strong enough issue to downgrade by at least 1-star. This is unfortunate, as the crimps made with this tool are possibly the best made Ethernet crimps from any of the many tools I have used in the last several years.

Excellent Pass-Through RJ45 Crimper – All-in-One Tool That Makes Ethernet Work Easy

[Color: 7028 Green]
This pass-through Ethernet crimper has been a great tool for my networking projects. The all-in-one design (cut, strip, and crimp) makes terminating Cat6/Cat6a cables much faster and more accurate than using separate tools. It works smoothly with pass-through connectors and produces clean, reliable crimps every time. The build quality feels solid with a comfortable grip, and the ratcheting mechanism gives consistent pressure. It handles both shielded and unshielded connectors well. I’ve already made several patch cables and it has saved me a lot of time and frustration.Pros:True all-in-one tool (cut/strip/crimp)Reliable pass-through RJ45 crimpsSolid build quality and comfortable gripWorks great with Cat6/Cat6a and shielded/unshieldedMakes custom cable making quick and easyCons:None so far — it’s a high-performing tool at a good price. If you terminate your own Ethernet cables or do any network work, this pass-through crimper is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Works well and I appreciate the locking mechanism.Works well and I appreciate the locking mechanism.

[Color: 7028 Green, Color: 7028 Green]
I have several of these crimping tools and this is the only one with a locking mechanism. It did not come with any instructions and at first I thought it was broken as I could not get it open. There is a small pin that you push one way or the other to lock and unlock the handle. Very nice when storing it in a tool bag. The blades were sharp and did not leave any stragglers or partially cut wires. It also came with some additional blades for when these wear down over time. It is simple to use and will work for Cat5/6 and Cat6a/7 with a change of the height screw. Just make sure you are using the appropriate setting as the Cat6a/7 setting will seem to work for Cat5/6 but will not provide a good enough crimp to the wires. The crimper is easy to use with one hand and I much prefer these over the older style crimpers. I really like using the pass through connectors as they are much easier and fast to make. This will do both style connectors and even includes a quick cable chart on the back if you are new to this. Overall, this is a great value for a well built crimper that could easily be used every day in a professional setting.
