We use it on a portable air scrubber while dry ice blasting vintage cars, and it does an excellent job capturing dust and fine particles. This is a very nice replacement MERV 13 Furnace Filter. Actual Size is 19.75"x 24.25x 6.00. I should have checked the actual size before ordering. My Goode Furnace uses 20x25x5 inch filters, but I have bought 20x25x6 inch filters before and they worked because the exact size was half inch or so less deep than the nominal size. This filter is just a 1/4 inch or less too thick to fit in the filter rack. It's heavy but comes folded up with side panels to form a full frame. And despite having to put it together it is well made and solid. They include plastic push screws to secure the the frame together. While glad I didn't get the better priced 2 pack, am sorry it just barely doesn't fit.

What an unusual filter. I expected a large box for this large filter, but instead got a long, skinny box. The filter was compressed laterally in accordion style and comes with the two end braces that you assemble once stretched out to regular size. An ingenious method for shipping. Will it impact filter performance? We will see.As for the filter media, it seems typical for this kind of filter. Once assembled, installation is a snap and as long as you got the right filter size, it should go in nice and easy. As a replacement for your normal filter, this seems to do the job. The price makes is attractive from a value standpoint and the odd disassembled shipping system means you can get a couple of them and easily store them for when you need a replacement. It seems like the quality will be fine. I’m sure there is better filter media out there but at a higher price. This is a convenient option as a replacement for those brand named options.

I got this filter for my Aprilaire 2200. It's an exact fit.Originally, the filter had to be stretched in a correlated plastic frame and separated with 2 combs.Then I got the upgrade kit which attaches to rails on the side. Both ways are cumbersome to install.This filter expands and the two side panels attack with plastic pins. Then the assembled box slides into the unit.

Definitely more affordable to go with the 2 pack. But I am super happy to have this. I am actually going to be using it in building a DIY paint chamber in my shop for my pickup. I have to constantly move air through, but I don't want to draw in a bunch of dust and debris to fresh coat of paint.The MERV 13 is a good rating. I use this level in my home AC intake. This is a high quality filter with a price tag to match. Installation is easy. The fit is perfect for my needs. I am not sure what all different applications this is compatible with. But given our air quality today, having clean air in our homes is really a necessity.I love how thick this filter is. It will definitely catch a lot of particles.
