Got this to replace a broken sensor on my post light. Swapping it out was straight forward and it’s been working like a champ. The package came with all the pieces needed to change the sensor and I have a spare in case this one stops working. It’s great to have the post light functional once again.

Works great for lighting that are controlled by photocells from incandescent, transformer ballasts and even electronic ballasts.Photocell has a small profile, which makes Installation easy.Package includes 2 photocells and 1 cover with neoprene like gasket, I specially liked the protective lens that shield the lens from direct rain and excessive light, as you can place something to trigger the photocell before it becomes too dark.

I picked up this 2 pack because the sensor on my dawn/dusk light out front stopped working. It's mandatory that all lights in the neighborhood work, so instead of replacing the whole light, I decided to try to replace the sensor.These arrived super quick.The sensors were well protected (free from damage) and packed in a sealed box. There were instructions included, which were easy to read/understand. While the instructions are great, it is incredibly easy to install/swap out these sensors! Just get the eye in place, connect the wires and you are all set!I've only used one of these so far, but I am very happy with how well it works. My light now comes on at dusk and shuts off at dawn. These are great little sensors and a very affordable pricel

Great deal for a TWO pack of photocell sensors and wallplate! Our front lights had defective photocells (maybe they just get old?) but this was a quick and easy replacement and now our lights automatically turn on at dusk and off at dawn! Great deal - lower priced than ONE at the store.

I recently added some lighting behind rhe garage in the alley. We've had some evening visitors and we're hoping it helps. Problem was if we don't unplug them every day and remember to plug them back in they would not be as effective. I decided to wire in some dusk/dawn sensors. They're super easy to install and takes the "forget" out of the equation.One of these didn't work at all. I tested them and even waited until it was dark and I had to wire this to a relay and run both lights off 1 sensor.The one that did work seems to do very well. It rained for 3 days and it had no issues. I guess im glad it came with 2 sensors.

These dusk to dawn photocell sensors are a must on all of my exterior lights. It is great not having to worry about turning the porch lights on at night. Especially when you are on vacation. Makes it look like you are home. A very small price to pay for that kind of security. Easy to install. The instructional diagram is in the box. It just acts as a middle man between the light and the switch. Comes with 2. Highly recommended.

Earlier this year I started installing quite a few outdoor dusk-to-dawn lights around my house. Shortly after buying and installing them, I learned that the photocell sensors inside some fixtures do not always last that long, and because they are wired directly into the light, the entire fixture will stop working. And unfortunately, one of the sensors broke after only a few months. But after watching several videos online, I found out that replacing the sensors is actually much easier than I expected. So, I ordered this two pack to have an extra one because I am guessing another sensor will break, especially after next winter.The sensors feel well made and come with everything needed for installation. The wiring is straightforward if you already have basic electrical experience, and they fit perfectly into standard outdoor lighting fixtures that are commonly sold online.Since most of the sensors I will be replacing are already built into my existing light fixtures, I will not need the included wall plates for those repairs. However, if someone wanted to convert a regular outdoor light into a dusk-to-dawn light, the included plate gives you a clean way to mount the sensor and hide it behind what looks like a normal wall plate.I am glad I ordered this set. And having an extra replacement sensornavailable will probably save me time in the future. They are good quality and worked perfectly. They are a good deal at their price.

I bought these after getting tired of manually flipping my post lamp switch or forgetting and leaving it on all day like a lighthouse. The dusk-to-dawn functionality is genuinely reliable; it comes on at actual dusk and shuts off at dawn, even on overcast days when the light level is ambiguous. The 120-277V range covers my residential 120V post lamp and my brother's commercial 277V parking lot light, which is convenient for gifting.The included wall plate and screws made installation straightforward; I replaced the existing fixture base with this sensor in about fifteen minutes. For post lamps and exterior lighting, the compatibility is broad; I tested on three different fixtures and all worked without flickering or false triggers. At two pack, I did my front post and back patio light; both have been flawless for two months. The value for money is excellent compared to buying new fixtures with built-in photocells. My only note is that the sensor needs a clear view of the sky; my first placement was partially under an eave and it stayed on during the day. Moved it six inches and problem solved. For anyone wanting automatic lighting without replacing fixtures, the simplicity and reliability make this a quick upgrade.
