I was really impressed with the overall quality of this barn door hardware kit. The ceiling-mount box rail design is a great option when a traditional wall-mounted barn door track isn't practical, and the finished installation has a much cleaner and more finished appearance than I expected.Installation was straightforward, especially considering this is a fairly substantial piece of hardware. The instructions do a good job of walking you through the process, and the parts are organized in a way that makes sense. As with any ceiling-mounted door, getting your measurements and mounting points correct is important, but I didn't find the actual installation unnecessarily complicated. I especially appreciate that the kit includes the track hardware, rollers, hangers, stops, end caps and floor guide rather than making you hunt down a bunch of additional pieces.The material and build quality are excellent. The aluminum alloy track feels substantial and well made without being excessively heavy. The matte black finish looks great and gives it a much more professional appearance than exposed galvanized or unfinished hardware. Everything feels solid once installed, and there is very little flex or movement in the system. The claimed 330-pound capacity also gives you plenty of flexibility for a substantial door.Once installed, ease of use is excellent. The rollers move smoothly and quietly through the enclosed track, and the door doesn't feel rough or jerky when opening and closing. The stops and buffers are also a nice design feature because the door comes to a controlled stop rather than banging against a piece of metal.I particularly like the box rail design. Most of the moving hardware is concealed inside the track, so you aren't looking at a bunch of exposed rollers and hardware. It gives the installation a cleaner, more modern appearance while still retaining some of the barn-door style. The black finish also works well with a variety of door styles.Sturdiness is probably one of its strongest points. Once properly secured to solid ceiling framing, the entire assembly feels extremely stable. The hangers, rollers and track all feel appropriately sized for the job, and nothing about it feels flimsy or cheaply made.The design quality is also very good. Details like the nylon rollers with ball bearings, enclosed track, end buffers, floor guide and adjustable hardware make it feel like someone actually thought about how the system would work after installation, not just how to make it inexpensive.For around $90, I think the quality is very reasonable considering the materials, included hardware and overall design. Just make sure you carefully measure your opening, door thickness and available floor-to-ceiling height before ordering since the door itself is not included.Overall, this is a very well-built and well-designed ceiling-mount barn door system. I received this 72" barn door hardware kit and it installed pretty easily with the clear instructions and video. The heavy-duty aluminum box rail feels solid with that matte black finish, and the dual ball-bearing rollers make the door slide quietly and smoothly every time—no squeaks or sticking at all. This barn door hardware is fantastic and I would order this again. It is really well made. The finish is nice. The track and wheels glide easily and smoothly. I think it is a real 5 star item. I ordered this to install outdoors on the side of my house under an overhang. I have a very big crawl space where I store a lot of outdoor items. The crawl space is enclosed by pickets, and I have been wanting to put up a door to close off the entry for some time now. However, I wanted the "door" to look like the pickets and blend in with the look of them. When I saw this barn door hardware, I ordered it right away. I thought it would be the perfect spot for a barn door. The result is fantastic. We mounted the hardware underneath the Hardy board of my exterior siding so you can't see the track. This makes the door blend in better with the pickets. I think it is a wonderful solution. Now I can access the crawl space, but keep critters out of there. It fits seamlessly with the house. This was super easy to install. The directions are straight forward and thorough. For my purposes this is a 5 star item. Now, just to inform you the track comes in 3 pieces, and you put them together with a really well made spacer that connects the three tracks at two different places. It is very easy. Since there are 3 pieces, there are two seams on the track. It is something to consider prior to purchase, because if I were installing this inside my home where the track was exposed, it might bother me that there were two seams. They aren't very noticeable. From afar you certainly don't see them. I only mention it because it is something to keep in mind depending upon where you plan to install this and how you feel about minor visible seams. The flip side of this is you get everything you need to hang the door for under $100. That is pretty amazing. All you need to add is a door and a door handle. So if price is one of your top considerations then this is a great choice. When this arrives at your house and you go to install it, the most important thing is to drill the holes for your hanging hardware perfectly. There isn't really any give in the hardware. You need to be pretty exact, and use the washers so you don't scratch the finish on the hardware. If you mount the track directly to wood predrill the screw holes so you don't break the head off the bolt. Overall, I am very, very pleased with this order and I would order it again. I love the final look. It works beautifully for my specifications and I couldn't be happier about it.
