This came in handy with building my chicken run. Used it to connect some lumber. Very sturdy.

At 0.13 inches, these are just a hair over 1/8" thick. The powder coating seems more durable than standard paint. The supplied screws slide easily through the mounting holes (not countersunk) and the supplied driver bit fits the hex heads well. My magnet test shows these are steel as described. The only minor negative I find with this hardware pack is that the screws are not padded well and consequently, the coating is chipped on one side of one plate from contact with the screws during shipping.

Nice finish, strong and well painted. Pre-drilled holes is a time saver. I got these to strengthen up a gazebo kit that seemed a little weak to me.
