Years and years ago, in a far-off land, I built a custom workbench using some plastic brackets. Now, don't get me wrong — that bench is still holding its own at my son's house. I gave it to him when he moved into his first home, and it hasn't failed him yet.I've been wanting to build a new bench for my wife and me for our garden area, but just hadn't made the time. When these brackets showed up, I was inspired.These are so much nicer in appearance than the plastic ones. Those plastic versions are really thick, with gusseted bracketing for strength — they work, but these are slim and sleek by comparison. Heavy-gauge brackets with plenty of strength.I'm using redwood since it's going outside. I'm not sure yet how the metal will weather the elements, but I have faith the bench will outlast me. As shown in the listing photo, you get 8 brackets — enough for a bottom shelf and a top, which works out great for both stability and storage of gardening supplies.The paint and the overall assembly process are clean and scream quality. The way the corners come together is an extremely strong design.This will be a great bench, one that gets passed down to the next homeowners to enjoy long after I've left this mortal coil.

This kit is a perfect way to make a workbench that will be very sturdy and. Be able to stand up to the use a workbench gets. The braces are made of very heavy duty, well crafted/manufactured steel- not cheap junk! I like the fact that I can make the bench to match my needs for the space where it will go…custom sized, not a general premade bench/table. And I want to emphasize how heavyweight or heavy duty these braces are.. not cheaply made or lightweight light-gauge metal. All VeryGood!
