Was just ok, though material made it thicker in the middle requiring using longer bolts than cane work my ceiling fan

We work in home staging and real estate, often when preparing a home for market we will swap lighting and hardware. It never ceases to amaze me, once you begin to renovate something another issue appears. When swapping out lighting, medallions have been my go-to “goof ring” option when the paint doesn’t match or the ceiling junction box needs more coverage. Enter medallions! This is a nice decorative medallion, a great value as you’ll notice purchasing them online can be an additional investment - this is an excellent option. (Pro tip - check your local habitat for Humanity resale store - excellent lighting options)This medallion Is made out of a softer material so you will need to handle accordingly. It could be dented or broken easier than plastic - however I do believe you could use fine grit sandpaper on it if you’re a perfectionist and it would handle beautifully. It comes primed and ready to paint - so you can add some style and personality to your ceiling or wall sconce updates. It’s classy, adds dimension and super fun - ready for you to put your spin on. Very light-weight too.Great option for lighting updates! I would definitely order again for our next project.

This is my second time using a medallion like this, and it completely transforms a space. In my previous home, I painted one antique gold and installed it over a dining room drop light. It drew every eye upward and became the #1 thing buyers complimented during showings. For my current project, I am leaving the body white to match my crown molding but applying antique gold wax to the beaded edge to accent my lead glass and black-trimmed light fixture.Pro Design Tips for Buyers:Sizing Rule of 7: Multiply your room's length by its width, then divide by 7 to find the maximum ideal diameter so it does not overpower the room. If you go larger, paint it the ceiling color to blend it in.Light Fixtures: Choose a medallion close to the same diameter as the light fixture itself.Ceiling Fans: Keep the medallion diameter under two-thirds of the total fan span.Product Quality & Installation:Material: Very dense, solid, and premium-feeling.Workability: Extremely easy to trim slightly for a perfect fit around your electrical box.DIY Friendly: If you want to avoid disconnecting wiring, you can easily cut this medallion clean in half with a utility knife and glue it right to the ceiling around the existing fixture housing.Finish: Crisp, clean white right out of the box, but takes paint beautifully. Highly recommended

This medallion arrived the same day I scored an antique chandelier, something I’ve bolo’d for 10 years. So it seemed simpatico that they were meant to be together.Note: Initially I wanted to paint it silver, but for some reason metallic spray paint would not cure on it and remained sticky. So I lightly sanded it then repainted with black spray paint that worked fine. So I’d say either use a water based metallic paint if that’s your intention, or at least do a test spot with spray paint first.I’m hanging it on a covered porch ceiling with wainscoting so I only used dabbed heavy duty adhesive (it’s light enough to hold) rather than all over in case I move it in the future as that glue can be a real pain to remove. That worked great and it looks fabulous and classy, and my decade long chandelier vision has been fulfilled!Great price for very nice product!

This medallion is destined to cover up a ceiling opening after repositioning a ceiling fan. The 12-1/2" diameter provides plenty of coverage with an attractive 3-dimentional texture that is fine on its own but can easily be painted. This is a one-piece casting with a white outer layer, but the core foam material is easily cut with a fine saw blade to make 2 matching halves. The ~4" inside diameter can also be increased by cutting with a jig saw or coping saw. No attachment adhesive is provided, but it is suited for construction adhesives such as "liquid nails" or a caulking compound. The medallion is light enough to be held with less-permanent methods such as 3-M "command strips", double-sided adhesives, or adhesive Velcro strips.

This ceiling medallion by Bueyfolt has nice details. At 12.5" in diameter and 1 3/8" thick, it is a substantial presence on the ceiling. Its clean lines and beading is between traditional and transitional decor. It's perfect for hiding gaps around ceiling mounts or purely for aesthetics. It's an accessory that can really upgrade a room. The medallion feels and looks like it is primed white and ready for paint. Its lightweight form is easy to install with adhesive. This is an inexpensive way to change my room's look and feel. It's sturdy and compatible with most 4" light ceiling mount plates. This is great quality and a good value for this ceiling medallion. At under $14 at the time of my order, this is worth the price. I’d order it again.

Pretty pleased with this ceiling medallion. It looks just as shown in the product pics & is made of a rigid foam type of material. It has some texture to it that actually sort of mimics irregularities that would be found in traditional plaster medallions in older homes. Ever so slight pitting & flaws, that may or may not have been intentional by the manufacturer. For my needs, it’s perfect for my imperfect century home. It may not suit you if you’re looking for an absolutely pristine finish. Also, this is primed & ready to paint. Unlike some other medallions made of clean white plastic & such, you really need paint this. The primed base is mostly clean white, but there are some random dark marks & spots that would be unsightly if left unpainted. The measurements listed are a hair generous, too. Not by a lot, but if exact measurements matter to you, please know that this is actually 12-3/8” OD, not 12-1/2” OD. There are similar discrepancies for the listed inner diameter & thickness measurements, too.I’m still giving this a 4-star rating, because it really is suited for my application of it & the price is currently quite good at $14. Had my needs been different, I’d have been more critical, rating-wise, for the reasons mentioned above. Made in China.
