Living in a rural area, having a filter on my shower head is a must. Due to excessive rust in my water, I need to replace my filters more often than the 90 days that are usually recommended. This can get quite expensive, so I am always looking for quality filters that are budget friendly. You get two replacement filters for a very reasonable cost. They easily fit my showerhead. Replacing the used filters was very simple, just unscrew the showerhead, remove the old filter, pop in the new one, screw the showerhead back on, and you are back in business. There are 2 separate filtration layers, the first, Calcium Sulfite, and second, KDF. These ensure that all the heavy metals, rust, chlorine and sediment is filtered out so I am showering in fresh, clean water.

I have shared numerous photographs of this filter cartridge next to a genuine Jolie filter cartridge to demonstrate that you can hardly tell the difference and reassure you that it is a perfect fit. We have extremely hard water, you can see the reddish residue on the used Jolie filter in the photo, so we really put these filters to the test. The subscription price for ONE Jolie brand filter replacement is $35 with a subscription and $38 without and if I am completely honest these filters work better for me and are a quarter of the price. My soap and shampoo lathers effortlessly, ensuring that this is absolutely softening our water, and my skin is extremely soft, not itchy and irritated. My hair is less frizzy and my glass shower doors don't need to be scrubbed every week from hard water build up, just a squeegee after each shower and a deep clean once a month. All of this tells me that these are not only working just as they should, but actually working noticeably better than the name brand. Because of how expensive the Jolie brand replacement filter is I was changing our filter every 6 months rather than the recommended every 3 months. Just like any filtration system a clean filter is really the most important part to have something work effectively so I am so happy I found these. $20 for 2 filters allows me to change our filter out as frequently as needed without feeling burdened with the expense. Works just like a genuine Jolie filter but for a quarter of the price.

I like that it has 75% kdf material and filter to remove chlorine that my city has added to the water.I'm using this in a universal type shower head and it fits great with inner seals..KDF removes chlorine and reduce heavy metals.Made of a special copper-zinc alloy, KDF relies on an electrochemical process (redox) to convert harsh, skin-drying chemicals into harmless, water-soluble substances.Calcium sulfite or KDF does not remove hard water minerals from your shower water.Calcium sulfite does remove chlorine and chloramines so if your city water does have chloramines added to water this will help as long as the calcium sulfite lasts in the filter which is 25%. You can do a search to find out with your water district in your city as to what disinfectant they use just do a search.Last filter I purchased did have some carbon filtration but I researched it doesn't do very well with hot water.So this will do. I do have hard water but with this filter I don't notice it.If you have a busy household taking showers all the time I would replace this every 6 to 12 months. Or until you find it is not operating as well anymore.Hope I've helped

I'm happy with these Jolie-compatible shower filter cartridges, even though I don't have a Jolie Shower head!From the stated measurements I thought they might fit into my very inexpensive generic barrel-shaped shower filter, so I wanted to give them a try. They do, in fact, fit! TIP: Keep any gasket/O-rings that came with the other cylinder-shaped filter cartridges you may have, because these do not come with any, and you may need extras.I've been using my shower filter with replacement cartridges for several years now, and I'm hooked! Now, I'm no chemical scientist, so I can't give you definitive numbers of specifically what might or might not be getting reduced, but I sure love not smelling chlorine coming out of my showerhead! So that feature alone is pretty sweet as far as I'm concerned. Less chlorine is better for your hair, your skin...it's just nice not feeling like you're showering at the public pool.Our water pressure is not the strongest to begin with, so I try to be careful about changing the filter on schedule. Changing out the filter is a very simple matter, and doing that maintenance on a good schedule pays off in top filtering performance as well as good water pressure.I'm sure if you have a Jolie brand shower head, these will give you great performance at a much cheaper per unit price than OEMs! So, a good value for your money. Four stars out of five, only because I can't yet report on their longevity.
