Well made and works great but not UL listed

For someone like me that is using this for a van conversion build, it is great. I wouldn't use it in a house since it is not UL listed and it has a nonstandard color. Usually, residential wire that is 10/2 is orange and 12/2 is yellow. This would be a bit confusing for a inspector or electrician working on a residential building.The wire seems well made and the sheathing is flawless. The wire itself is of high quality and it hold power well without problems. It has the same feel asnd flexibility as your standard UL listed 10/2 and it says it is made to conform to the National Electrical Code for NM-b cable. This make it easy to use, especially at this length. This is another case I have seem where they advertise the qualities of being windproof, waterproof, sunproof, and snowproof for indoor residential wire. I have never had any problems with snow in the inside of the walls of my house, but if I do, this wire will be OK with it.Overall, it is a good value for this 20 ft length of 10/2 NM-B wire.

I picked up this 20-foot roll of 10/2 NM-B wire for a residential indoor project, mainly to run a dedicated outlet and switch for a higher-power air conditioner. For a smaller job like this, the 20-foot length was convenient because I didn’t have a large amount of extra cable left over.The yellow non-metallic jacket has the familiar look of standard NM-B cable, and the overall construction is neat. Inside are two insulated conductors along with a bare copper ground wire. The copper conductors looked clean and consistent after stripping, with no obvious impurities or irregularities. The outer jacket has a reasonable thickness and a smooth surface that didn’t easily snag or scratch while I was pulling and routing the cable.For a 10 AWG cable, I found the flexibility quite manageable. It’s naturally more substantial than lighter-gauge wire, but it wasn’t excessively stiff. Bending it around corners and feeding it through the planned route was fairly straightforward, which made the installation less frustrating.The 20-foot length is a nice size for localized residential projects. It gives enough material for a dedicated run without forcing me to buy a much longer roll and deal with a lot of unused cable afterward.In actual use, the wire has performed as expected. I’ve had the air conditioner running for extended periods, and the cable has remained at normal room temperature with no noticeable heating under the intended setup. If you need some heavier duty copper wire for your residential electrical project, this stuff will get the job done. I was wiring up an electric water heater that called for 10 AWG (single phase, grounded) and I only needed about 15 feet to get to the circuit breaker.I ordered this stuff instead of going to the local building supply box store and I'm glad I did because it's great quality and exactly what I needed. It's fairly stiff due to it being solid and bigger gauge, but that's expected. You can still easily bend it however needed to route it, but it might be a little tough pulling though tight conduit.Overall, great value for the money and would definitely order more.

I got this 10/2 NM-B cable for a very specific job: running a dedicated circuit from a solar inverter to a hot water heater. The 10 AWG conductors were appropriate for the relatively high-current load, and the cable proved straightforward to work with during installation.The cable has the expected construction for 10/2 NM-B: two insulated conductors plus a bare grounding conductor. The copper conductors were substantial and easy to terminate, and the yellow outer jacket made the cable easy to distinguish from other wiring in my electrical system. The ground conductor is wrapped in paper, which is normal for this type of cable and makes it easy to separate when preparing the cable for termination.Installation and handlingThe biggest practical challenge with 10 AWG NM-B is not this particular cable but the nature of heavy-gauge residential wire. It is considerably stiffer than 12- or 14-gauge cable, particularly when making bends into an electrical box. I found that planning the cable route and making the major bends before positioning the cable made installation considerably easier.For my installation, the cable was used for a dedicated circuit between the inverter and water heater. Once routed, it was easy to strip and terminate using normal tools for NM cable. The substantial conductors provided a reassuringly solid connection at the terminals.The cable performed properly in this application. The concern is whether the product has the certification and listing documentation required for a particular installation.Compared with ordinary residential cableThe 10 AWG construction is noticeably heavier than the 12/2 and 14/2 cable commonly encountered in ordinary branch-circuit wiring. That makes it more difficult to bend and route, but that's an inherent consequence of using larger conductors rather than a defect in this product.For a dedicated higher-current circuit, the heavier conductors are exactly what I wanted. Premium 10/2 NM-B cable for 120V 30A indoor residential circuits

NM-B (Non-Metallic, Type-B) cable is the standard for indoor residential circuit wiring. This is the 10/2 version, meaning two 10awg conductors (hot, neutral) plus ground (bare wire). For those used to using electrical cable, this is not confusing: for NM, UF and other cables, the bare ground wire is not counted in the awg/# naming convention.This cable can be used for any indoor wiring project that originates in a 30 amp, single-pole breaker at the service panel. Typical applications in residential settings are for shop motors, pumps and heater circuits. It is VERY important that the maximum amperage on the circuit wherein this cable is used is 30A: DO NOT use it as part of a circuit that has a 35A or higher breaker as this risks current overdraw and cabling failure that could lead to short circuits, fire etc.This product is 20ft of cable and costs about $50, which is fair market value, neither high priced nor low priced. The cable jacket is smooth and the cable itself is relatively stiff, as expected for 10/2 cable with solid copper conductors. It is easy to run and strip, and seems to be very well made.Cable of this type is really a commodity product, but this is a good example, and should be completely adequate for most any indoor residential application for which the 10/2 configuration is code compliant.

Good Option for Small Residential Projects
