These are absolutely SOLID!I am not using them for a pergola, I was using them to brace a shelf that I had some immense weights on (so much so that it was coming off the wall, even though it was a heavy-duty shelf unit) Adding these underneath it mounted to the wall and the underside of the shelf easily held up the weight I had on that shelf (about 700lbs).So, I love the solid nature of these, they are strong, nicely welded and have a great powder coat finish to them so they look good as well.

This 4 pack of 45 degree angle support brackets are made of hollow carbon steel. The big advantage of using these in your building project over standard 2x4's or 2x6's for angle support is the attachment points. Unlike a wood support which would require a miter cut and angled nails or screws to attach, the carbon steel supports are already formed and predrilled attachment points allowing the included screws and nut driver to sink the screws directly and securely into your wood beams for a superior support connection. Corner brackets in wood structures need corner supports for much improved stability and sturdiness of the structure. Since they are pre-angled at 45 degrees, they fit well and are easy to install. The overall appearance is good and really provides that extra visual confirmation that the structure is built strong and sturdy. Although more costly than using lumber brackets, they do provide better strength and appearance.

I ordered these GURONG Heavy Duty 45 Degree Angle Support Brackets to use in the construction of my planned catio. The for brackets will be the strength of the frame work that'll hold up the mesh and wire sides that secure and enclose the catio. The brackets are very well manufactured, with a sleek matt black finish. They are made to withstand the weather and years of use. They have predrilled holes for the included screws that will attach them to the framework of the catio, in my application. These brackets are super sturdy and will look great in the finished product. The black finish is powder coated to give them even more rust resistance, durability and prevent flaking of the finish. My carpenter is very pressed with them and initially didn't think they would work for the construction of the catio however after they arrived and I drew my dream catio he said "definitely, yes, these will be great!". These brackets can be used on so many different applications, a front porch, gazebo, pool house, barn stalls, etc. the choices are endless. I absolutely love the finish it'll look great no matter what is being used with. The price is very reasonable, especially when you compare then to the price of wood today that works have to be cut and angles appropriately if used instead of these pre-made metal brackets. I'll be sure to add photos of the finished catio when it's complete.

This four piece set of GURON steel angle brackets are just what I need to hold the framing of a small, cantilevered roof I’m building to keep snow off a set of propane tanks. The brackets are formed with tubed steel and flat end plates fixed at 45degrees. The brackets have a powder coat finish which should prove to be durable and rust resistant. I examined every weld and they were all nearly perfect with very neat and smooth beads and no open or potentially weak spots.I am confident that these brackets spaced every 15 inches for a five-foot-long ledger board will fully support the snow weight. The only issue is where this company inexplicably chose to put the weep holes, which now are in the plate ends that sit on your lumber, but I will be changing that by drilling a couple new holes in a more desirable position. For a price tag under 35 bucks, this set of brackets will save me time, some lumber expense, scrap, and most importantly the aggravation of not getting a cut exactly perfectly. I am satisfied with these brackets, but for larger and heavier projects I would not make these my go to.

I had hoped these braces would be heavier than they are as I wanted to use them for a tree stand. But they are fairly lightweight and true "reinforcements" rather than structural components.The brackets are powder-coated and so should last outside in the weather. They measure just short of 16" long at the longest, with each end having a square 3"X3" plate welded on. The metal tubing is cut so these plates sit at a 45 degree angle. Each plate on each end of each of the four brackets is pre-drilled with four holes. The included wood screws with hex heads and a drill driver go through these holes and into the wooden posts used.The screws are light-duty and only 2" long, so don't expect them to hold well in cases of side strain on your structure or heavy weight. As shipped with the short screws I cannot recommend these supports be used for anything supporting much weight -- the timbers or slats of a pergola are probably the top end weight wise, definitely not a tree house or tree stand which might have people crawling into it.Despite these limitations, these are nice sturdy and lightweight metal brackets which could be used to shore up an existing deck or porch which is starting to sway or bracing up a table or workbench (e.g. projects closer to the ground which don't need to support a lot of weight). While there may be many uses for these, I would definitely use larger and longer screws to support them.

I recently built an arbor using 4x4 posts and a 4x6 header beam. I cut 4x4 sections at 45 degree angles and placed the them to attach the header to the posts. What I found is I can cut straight cuts, but not 45 degree angles--especially with a circular saw that was not deep enough to cut through the 4x4. The angles were not right, and there were gaps--but I used them anyway. Then, I saw these and decided I had to have them. They are made of steel and they are powder coated. They seem very sturdy and I expect them to last a long time--probably longer then the arbor will last. The plates at the end fit the 4x4 just right and fit flush. The bar between the end plates is smaller (approximately 1 1/4 inch x 2 1/4 inch) and at first, I thought that would look weird. They look right and if the bar were larger than it is, I believe the installed product would look weird--funny how that worked out. These are strong and, like I said, look like they may last longer than the arbor. I also think they are a good value. As a result of my observations, I would recommend these without question.
