I'm very happy with this vent redirector. It fits my 11-inch vent covers perfectly, and the magnets are surprisingly strong. Once it's positioned over the vent, it stays securely in place. The extension sections fit together well and are easy to adjust to the length you need. I specifically got this for a floor vent underneath our bed, and it has solved an annoying problem we've had for a while. Previously, the air would blow straight up through the bed slats, so depending on whether the heat or AC was running, we'd end up either getting too warm or having cold air blowing directly underneath us. Now the air is directed down the length of the bed and out into the room, where it can actually help bring the room to the temperature we're trying to achieve. I've looked at other vent redirectors before, but our bed sits fairly low to the floor and most designs were simply too tall. This is the first one I've found that's low-profile enough to fit underneath while still providing plenty of adjustment. It does exactly what I needed it to do, the magnets hold extremely well, and the adjustable design makes it easy to get the airflow where I want it. I'd 100% recommend this, especially if you're trying to redirect a floor vent underneath a low piece of furniture.

Over past years, I've tried items similar to this on several occasions, and never had much luck with them. But it's been a while & I thought I'd try a current product, maybe they'd improved. Oh my goodness - THIS vent extender totally blew my scepticism out of the water! I was truly surprised at how well it worked!The place that I really need to use it is under a heavy chest, which I cannot move without help, so I couldn't put it on that vent right now. But I didn't want to wait around until I could get someone to help me - I really wanted to test this out, just to have an idea of it's efficiency, so I ended up choosing a vent that was in a somewhat awkward position - part of the cabinet right next to the vent protrudes outward a little bit, so it prevented the vent cover from sitting exactly as it should - it was "off" by just a tiny wee bit (though still covering the actual vent openings)I initially tried with only the base unit itself. The magnets are quite strong & held very well! In fact, until I was cropping my photos, I didn't realize that I didn't even have the center-rear magnet in place! But having the two side magnets aligned - that still held the extender quite well! With this first test, there was a plentiful rush of air coming from the end of the extender! Next, I added one of the additions, all was great! Then I added the second add-on piece, leaving it at about the halfway point - still a great result! And finally, I extended the full unit (base plus both add-on pieces) to almost their full length - I was at app. 34" at this point. And I *still* was getting a good strong rush of air from the end of the vent extender! I did *not* have any of the 3m adhesive pieces in place yet, and as mentioned, the extender base was sitting a little bit 'off' from it's ideal position - but even with those factors, it was working wonderfully!So I feel 110% confident that once I put it in place on the vent I need to extend, and I position it in a fully correct spot over the air vent, using all three magnets instead of just two - and use the 3m adhesive pieces to help tighten & seal any potential gaps between the 3 extender pieces - I am absolutely certain it will do a great job for me! If it works fantastic under the imperfect conditions of my "test", it will definitely work well when it's placed with much more care & deliberation!I could tell right away that these extenders are made from much heavier material than any I had tried before. They are really solid & strong & I feel that they will hold up for a very long time.So, if you have some air vents that are 'stuck' under furniture, grab one of these units & get the full air flow from your vent again!

The last time I had a vent extender, it was a cheap plastic and only had once piece to it. This set is amazing! First of all, all the parts that were carefully thought out, are very effective. The second I laid the main part on my vent, I was impressed with the power of how well the magnets held onto it. It is under our sectional so I have it extended almost all the way, using all 3 pieces. It came with double sided tape to use if one doesn’t have metal vent covers but since mine are metal, I won’t need them. That being said, I’m pretty impressed the makers thought of everything, and everyone. They do seem to have a fairly low profile so I’m not sure how well the air will flow through it. Also, my son suggested that maybe I shouldn’t put the vent extender on so it’s covering the whole vent since many vents are located in front of windows for a reason, especially living in MN. Because of the power of the attached magnets, and the fact that there shouldn’t be much movement under the sectional, I have every belief that I could cover only half the our vent and the extender would stay put well.

This is a thick plastic vent extender. It works very well for where I am using it. When I went to lift it after testing the magnets, it pulled the vent up. The magnets are definitely strong enough to do the job.Due to it's thickness and low profile I expect it to last. Thickness and low profile make it sturdy. The included 3M tape allows you to fasten the three pieces easily. I only needed 2 sections of vent extender, so I gave those 2 pieces the extra tape.Only thing I don't like is that the inside that sits over the vent is square rather than rounded. This causes an air backflow as the air hits the top. I can definitely feel the restriction as the force of air is noticeably less than what is going into the extender.This is a very inexpensive solution to a very specific problem with air ducts. It isn't perfect but it works.

The thought around this vent item is very good. It fits nicely under our dresser and easily extends from the back to the front. We only needed about 18 inches, but this extender can go all the way out to 39 inches which should meet most applications. It is made of what feels like thick clear plastic which is sturdy and should be easy to clean. There are magnets attached which are very strong and make installation on a metal vent cover super easy. The height is around an inch and a half and would go under just about any cabinet that doesn't have a front kickplate.While this deflector definitely works; to me, it feels like the airflow is a little constricted. It goes from 4 inches of output to about 1.5. Since the thermostat is not in the same room, it gets satisfied well before our room feels a big difference than the larger vent under the dresser.

Needless to say, everything we request is utilized often. This review is for the Magnetic Air Vent Extender for Floor Registers.This is a 3-piece thicker plastic register extender that comes in three sections (A-C). They build on one another depending on how long you need them to be. Section A is 16” and the total length of all three can go to 39”. And we needed that whole length for our application.We have a large heavy sectional that covers a register in our living room and this was perfect for that super slim area beneath our couch. It takes the warm/cold air and actually transfers it into the room rather than pushing it into the underside of the couch.The base cover (Section A) has strong magnets that attach to our standard size registers. They also send 3M adhesive stickers that could attach to a non-metal register as an alternative.This is a niche product for very specific areas. Although simple in design, it does what exactly what it’s designed to do. The plastic is thicker and could take some abuse from whatever might hit them. Unlike the older versions that existing in the 80’s that were brittle plastic that broke readily.We would rate them at 5-stars.

This floor vent extender is so much better than the narrow extender I had previously. With my old one, I had to use duct tape to try to manipulate the airflow, and even after all that effort, it really didn't make much of a difference. It was frustrating and ultimately wasn't very useful.This extender is much wider and more practical, which makes a huge difference when you're trying to redirect air from a vent that's located underneath a bed. Because of the wider surface area, I have much more flexibility in adjusting the direction of the airflow and working around awkward obstacles.I especially appreciate that I'm not as limited by the size or position of the vent. The wider design gives me more options for navigating around furniture, bed frames, and other things that can interfere with airflow. It allows me to direct the air where I actually need it instead of simply accepting whatever direction it naturally comes out.This has been significantly easier to use and much more effective than the other vent extenders I've purchased. The difference in width really does make this a more versatile option, especially for difficult-to-reach or oddly positioned floor vents.Overall, I'm very happy with this extender. It's practical, easy to adjust, and has genuinely improved the airflow in our bedroom. If you're dealing with a vent that's underneath a bed or furniture and struggling with a narrow extender, I'd definitely recommend giving a wider option like this a try.
