Cable Crimping Pliers for Connector Which Connect LMR400

Fast delivery with the package arrived on time within four (4) days of placing the order. The crimping tool allows me to make the lengths of cable I require for my station’s topology as opposed to accepting arbitrary pre-cut and pre-terminated lengths of bulky KMR-400 cable. The tool was purchased exclusively for KMR-400 cable (and possibly LMR-400 in the future). It works well with my KMR-400 cable with a CCA center conductor with aluminum foil and tinned copper shielding. The center conductor is soldered on my PL-259’s, so I do not use the crimper for the CCA center conductor. The crimper is well-made, economical, and is working well for the function intended. I have not tested it with other sizes or types of cable. That said, I would recommend it to another ham with a similar purpose in mind.

I don’t use cable crimpers often, so I can’t compare this to professional tools, but I can say it performed well in my testing. I used it to crimp a single coax connector that had come off, and it produced a tight, secure crimp without any issues.The tool feels surprisingly well made for the price. It’s very heavy & solid and doesn’t feel flimsy at all. The ratcheting mechanism operated smoothly and released properly after the crimp was complete.It also includes multiple crimp sizes, making it compatible with different connectors. At around $15-$16 om sale or $18 regularly, I think it's a great value. If you’re looking for an affordable, durable crimping tool that gets the job done, I think this is an easy recommendation.
