Leak stopping tape and other uses. Waterproof and self adhering.

[Color: Clear, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet]
I ordered this tape to add to my "repair" kit. This stuff is really great and able to keep hosing from leaking (temporarily), while awaiting repair or replacement. I had a leak of a hose on my carpet cleaner. Used this tape around the leak and it is still holding. I have ordered a replacement hose; however, I appreciate this temporary fix while awaiting the part. This is great stuff!

Not Sticky At All... But It Holds To Itself Like A Piece of Creased Packing Tape!!!

[Color: Red, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet]
This stuff truly impressed me and blew my mind a little. There is a clear film over one surface, and the other surface is not sticky. When I peeled the clear plastic facing from the tape, I expected it to be sticky underneath. Neither side felt sticky at all... but then the tape touched itself, and WOW!!!! I almost couldn't get it apart, and if I'd applied any pressure or left it any longer, I probably wouldn't have gotten it apart. It is very durable, stretchy, and flexible, so it will certainly fill any grooves or odd shapes you stretch it around. Since it only truly sticks to itself, as far as I've seen, you will need to stretch it to get a good seal, and depending on the pressure it is holding back, maybe stretch the first wrap, then add an extra wrap or two to help prevent stretching from extreme pressures, if necessary. It would certainly be an option in a situation suited for heat shrink tubing, if you had no free end to slide a heat shrink tube over. The fact it isn't sticky at all, means you could use it in dirty situations, where dirt or debris would otherwise end up making any other tape totally useless if it touched the ground or anything else. I'm truly and pleasantly surprised by this "tape".

Self adhering Silicone tapeSelf adhering Silicone tape

[Color: Clear, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet, Color: Clear, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet]
As someone who has done a lot of her own Plumbing this self adhering tape functions just like the name brand stretch and seal but without the name brand price. This is great self-adhering tape that when stretched and wrapped around a pipe sticks to itself and provides a leak free and worry free connection around a variety of materials. It is super easy to use and durable and lasts a very long time. There is no sticky residue although it is best to keep the tape clean before use which is why the plastic case that it comes in is so important. When the tape become dirty it is more difficult to get to adhere and even more difficult to clean so be sure to use dust free pieces when adhering. Great tape well worth the cost.

Self fusing multi-purpose tape

[Color: Clear, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet]
Whether you wrap a pipe to quell a leak, wrap a tool handle for added grip or cover an electrical connection this tape appliesquickly, freely unwinds from the roll and forms a waterproof seal on the object after approximately 24 hours of cure time. The versatility is in the multiple uses and the ability to use it as an emergency repair kit for keak repair regardless of shape. Application is easy by tightly stretching the tape around the leaking object/pipe with immediate response as a leak free. After a short time (week) the material appears to stay in place and remains where you applied it. Although great for an emergency repair it is not a permanent solution so repairs in fact need to complete replacement parts updates. I also used on a utility knife handle with the handle remaining useful with a somewhat cushioned grip.

Sealed a weeping hose on the road and got me home, keep one everywhere

[Color: Black, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet]
This stuff is the real deal and I keep a roll in the truck, one on the boat, and one in the shop now. The quality is a step above, it is a thick 20 mil self fusing tape so it is not sticky like regular tape, you stretch it as you wrap and it bonds to itself into one solid rubber sleeve with no gooey adhesive residue. Ease of use is great, it tears clean by hand so you do not need a knife and a few wraps builds up a tough layer fast. On leakage, I had a heater hose weeping on the truck out on the road, wrapped it good and tight, and it sealed the leak right off and got me home. The water resistance is legit too, I wrapped a fitting below the waterline on the boat and it stayed sealed and bone dry. Where it really shines is versatility, I have used it to seal wiring connections, wrap a tool handle for grip, cover hydraulic fittings, and it takes heat without melting or sliding off. Durability has been excellent, that hose patch is still holding strong weeks later with no cracking or peeling. Every truck, boat, and toolbox ought to have a roll, works great.

36' of 2" silicone self fusing tape. Waterproof, self amalgamating.36' of 2" silicone self fusin...

[Color: Black, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet, Color: Black, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet]
This is a roll of silicone tape, 2" wide and 36' long, that is self amalgamating. That means it fuses together to make a kind of solid silicone wrap which makes it extremely waterproof. It is especially handy to put handles on things like shovels, wrenches, anything where you need a good grip. It come with a thin plastic layer that you peel off as you wrap. It is not really sticky like normal tape. You need to stretch it a bit to get it to fuse, and wait about a day. We had a bathroom fixture we needed to seal. Since it was 2" wide, I cut it in half to make a narrow strip. It was so easy to do with our everyday scissors. This tape is a must for any household repair kit, it has so many uses. It is a great electrical insulator if you have wires to isolate, it is great to fix a leak in a garden hose. You do have to make sure the area you are working on is clean of debris and any oil. Then you just stretch and wrap. I can't wait to do my shovel. It comes in a plastic case that is pretty handy and will keep it clean and dust free. Overall, I am really thrilled with this silicone tape.

They are not kidding when they say that it is “self fusing“!

[Color: Black, Size: 2-Inch x 36-Feet]
This stuff is unreal. Word of warning, do NOT let any part of the tape make contact with another part of the tape while you're putting it around whatever you’re fixing, because they are not joking when they say that it is “self-fusing”. Immediately bonds to itself and essentially creates a seamless seal.I got this to try and fix a hose spray nozzle that had cracked and water was spraying out of every which way from a split at the top portion. It didn't technically work to fix this, because the water ultimately just crept out and then started spraining different ways, but that's not really a fair test for this tape. The nozzle was helplessly unfixable, it's curved and made of plastic and the water pressure in this hose is probably equal to the pressure in the fire hose that attaches to fire hydrants - it’s just physically impossible to stop the water from coming out.So, I'm eagerly waiting for a pipe too have a leak so I can wrap this tape around it and fix it easily. I'd imagine it will work on some pressured water pipe leaks, so long as the pipe is straight and doesn't have a crazy curve like the spray nozzle I tried it on - but it will definitely work on drains and anything that has a leak and isn't highly pressurized
