While this item hasn't been "tested" by us, that is a good thing for a piece of safety equipment. This helmet has full coverage for your head, has decent airflow in moderate conditions, and with a 6 point suspension sits well on the head. The magnetic latch is nice, makes attaching/detaching without removing gloves relatively easy, however I'm a bit skeptical on this type of connection working well for a fall/hit from a decent height. Of course, I haven't had to test it for that yet, so it may work perfectly. I'm confident enough to use it for a few hours at a time when I need to protect my head. Good quality, nice fit, and the cost is reasonable.

We have a small farm. We heat most of it with firewood in an outdoor wood boiler. So, I end up cutting a lot of wood. I often wait for stuff to fall, so the woodpeckers have a place to stay, at least for a while. I hire a lot of young(er than me) people to work on the farm, and I need to provide protection from falling stuff. This helmet is perfect. Some helmets like this include flip down clear or/and smoked visors for eye pro. This one doesn't and that's ok for people who are already wearing glasses (like me). It has a clever latch to hold the chin strap together. It is very simple to slip it together with ONE HAND, same for taking it apart, and yet it is completely secure.Quality: A - its good quality. Everything is top shelfComfort: A - the cradle for your head adjusts easily with a twist knob in the back. The straps feel like satin!Value for Money: It's in line with the competition, and it's the nicest among the ones I've tried.Ease of use: The latch to hold the chin strap together makes it very easy to connect, or disconnect the chin strap with one hand.Fit: I have a large/X-large head. This hard hat fits well, and comfortably on my head. The straps are super soft and comfortable.

I wear a helmet most days as part of my job in a chemical plant and have been struck on my hard hat by a stray bolt falling from altitude. It hurt a little bit but probably saved my life so I do not mess around with these things. This hard hat is both extremely good against impacts but is also high visibility so you will be seen easily by crane operators or other workers. It has all of the certifications that both the US and Canada require for construction work and industrial jobs in terms of impact protection (ANSI / ISEA / CSA) but not quite enough for use in Europe (EN 397 or CE). Also note this is a helmet intended to protect against things falling onto you, not to protect you falling down and hitting your head - this is not a climbing or sports helmet. It's important to use the right safety gear for the right tasks. This helmet has a very comfortable mounting harness and magnet chin strap that goes on and off easily. The harness is the key to dispersing the impact across the largest surface area possible and must be properly worn to be effective. Also, this hard hat uses an EPS foam lining to help mitigate impacts. If this helmet is involved in a serious impact or even if it falls from significant height, do not simply reuse it. The structure of that foam lining is designed like crumple zones in a modern car. This works great but only once. Even though it looks fine from the outside, those closed cells have collapsed and will not protect against another impact as well as they did the first time. Your head is worth protecting. This hard hat is comfortable enough to wear all day and has a large enough adjustment range to fit my quite large 63 cm noggin. It is a great value for money and something I would recommend to anyone ever getting into that environment.
