I didn’t really understand how long a 15” blade actually is.I needed to trim down my plumeria tree as it had gotten out of hand. Originally I figured I would use a handsaw since plumerias aren’t very tough. I am glad I ordered these blades instead.First, the geometry on this 15” curved blade is nearly perfect. The curvature really helped retain the torque from your arms. That, and it’s easier to position the blade onto a branch. Once it makes contact with the branch, it feels pretty comfortable to cut through.The teeth are arranged in a double row with an offset spacing. Personally I would have preferred a single row (for the precision) but this worked great since it was designed to cut branch and precision is needed. I did have some trouble with kickback, though I think that maybe more of a problem with my low-end ryobi saw. Performance-wise, the saw ripped through the plumeria branches real quick.One thing I wish it would have come with is a rigid case of some sort. I don’t have any other blades this long and I don’t have a place to keep it safe. I ended up shoving it back into the cardboard packaging, for now.

Works great and very handy to use on a saw saw , blades are awesome, makes it handy to cut up to 6-8 inches round with out pulling the big chainsaw out ,,,,

These 15-inch reciprocating saw blades work really well for cutting branches and other wood around the yard. The longer blade is especially useful for getting through thicker limbs, and the aggressive Japanese-style teeth cut quickly without requiring a lot of pressure.They fit my reciprocating saw without any issues and feel sturdy enough for heavier pruning work. Having three blades in the pack is also nice so I have extras ready when one eventually wears out.Overall, they’re sharp, cut efficiently, and make tree trimming much easier. These 15 inch blades handle pruning duty way better than I expected. I made sure to tear the plastic wrapping on the cardboard in such a way that I could leave most of it on the package, to give that some extra durability.For general yard maintenance, trimming overgrown branches, and clearing storm debris, these are a strong option. Priced fairly for a three pack, and good value compared to name brand blades of similar quality. Worth having in the tool kit for anyone who prunes regularly.

Got these today. Put them into my Hercules/Harbor Freight recip saw. Went outside and cut several 3”-5” cedar trees that had blown down a while back. Blade went through them like a hot knife in butter. Much better asker than lugging my chainsaw. Much easier to maneuver too. I would recommend these to anyone. Great value and very good quality.

When it comes to pruning small to medium branches, I use my reciprocating saw because it is so much easier to use than my heavy chainsaw. Prior to ordering these 15 inch blades, I was using Diablo 9 inch reciprocating pruning blades. However, I would constantly get stuck on my forward stroke all the time on thicker branches. I always figured that was the cost of doing business with pruning with a reciprocating saw. Luckily, my neighbor was over the other day while I was pruning and he told me to get larger blades. Since I was only using my reciprocating saw on small and medium sized branches that are well-under 9 inches, I figured there was no point getting a larger blade and would actually just make it more difficult to work it. But after my neighbor told me to get 15 inch Japanese teeth, arc-edge blades, I looked it up online and apparently he was right.And I am real glad I ordered these Bladelion blades. I spent all day cutting branches of all sizes and never once did I get stuck on the forward stroke like I usually did with my 9 inch Diablo blades. The longer length, sharp Japanese style teeth, and arc edge design helped the blade clear the wood chips on every stroke. And because the 15 inches are much longer, they gave me much higher overhead reach, and there were so many branches that would have been too high up for my 9 inch blades to effectively cut without a ladder. And because you cover more wood with each stroke, you are able to cut medium size branches much quicker.Since Bladelion was a brand I never heard of before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. So, I was really lucky I was given the opportunity to review them. Because going forward, when I need to buy a new set of replacement blades, there is no need to overpay from brand name ones when these turned out to be such great blades. Considering their quality and the fact that they are about half the price of brand name blades, I highly recommend them.
