I thought all toilet seat hinges were the same. I was wrong! Our old hinge has finally let go, but the seat wouldn't work with this style. Not to worry. I'm replacing the whole seat now and I'm planning to install the new hinges on that! These 2 plastic hinges are quality made, stronger than my old ones and look nicer, too!

They come with all of the hardware needed for installation. That's important because there's a good chance that the old hardware will be worn out or filthy.The hinges are sturdy and high quality. They can be opened and closed easily once you understand where to open them. The only thing that I don't like about the product is that there are no directions. To make life easier, I'm going to attach an illustration THAT DOES NOT COME WITH THE PRODUCT that will help you to install the hinges easily.You may need a drill to attach the hingles to the seat, as shown in the illustration. The great majority of toilet seats will allow you to attach this hinge, but some use a different system where you slide in plastic dowel. If your toilet seat has that system this hinge won't work. If you need to attach the seat, I suggest using an electric screwdriver. It makes the job much easier.If the product came with directions, I would have rated it 5*.
