They do the job. Not for huge jobs. The plastic is very thin. Easy to tear but easy to just rip while hanging. The roller is handy. Makes it a lot easier to apply on the wall. The plastic is very short so I had to use a lot of it. By the end of my project, which was spraying my closet doors, the plastic was tore but protected what it needed.

Great masking tape dispenser for drop cloth paint protection

[Color: 1 Dispenser 2 Refill 22" x 66']
Really great way to tape drop cloth for painting! This thing works really well, which is surprising because I wasn't expecting much. But it works great! The plastic is really thin, so don't expect it to be super heavy duty or anything, but does a good job of protecting things from small splatter. The masking tape comes off cleanly, no problem there. Pretty easy to use.Size is good for most DIY projects.Honestly, I don't know why I haven't been using one of these for all of my past projects! Great value for the money. Highly recommend!

REALLY really good idea.....REALLY really good idea.....

[Color: 1 Dispenser 2 Refill 22" x 66', Color: 1 Dispenser 2 Refill 22" x 66']
I went 50 years without knowing this existed. It’s honestly such a genius idea....the roll is only about three inches long when its on the holder....but once you tape it up, the plastic unfolds out to around twenty‑two inches and gives you a wide sheet to cover whatever you’re working on. It saves time compared to juggling separate tape and plastic. You get an extra roll of tape and two rolls of plastic so its a good value....and you don’t run out mid‑project. The dispenser makes it easy to roll out what you need without tangling....but the metal cutting edge is sharp....I actually cut my finger on it....so just be careful when you’re trimming the film. The tape is nice and sticky but removes cleanly.... which is perfect for cabinets or trim. However....the plastic is super thin. It’s not like drop‑cloth plastic....it’s more like the thin plastic from an office desk garbage bag. Still works fine for paint projects, just don’t expect heavy‑duty thickness. For cabinet work, walls, or furniture protection, this pre‑taped masking film is a simple tool that does exactly what it’s supposed to. If you’re doing any kind of painting or sanding prep....it’s a nice little time saver. I'm loving it!

WOW!!

I used to hate painting. Not the painting itself, but the masking tape, hanging plastic, covering everything, etc. But this makes it so easy! Once I got the hang of it, I was able to mask off large areas of the room without one cuss word! It was easy, efficient, and worked better than you could expect. The thickness of the film is perfect. The ability to tape and hang with one hand while rolling out the sheeting with the other is wonderful! Also, you get an extra roll of tape just in case you need it. What a great value. The dispenser is another nice addition to this film. Definitely worth the money. I would recommend this highly! No more painting without it.

Reasonable value for pre taped masking plastic and dispenser; takes a bit to get used to applying...

We paint around the house quite a bit and have never used a pre-taped masking plastic before but have been interested in giving it a try.I am used to using larger masking tape, applying it to my edge and then coming back and tucking the masking plastic, or in our case, masking paper under the tape. This approach of pre-taped plastic takes some getting used to.I like that it comes in a dispenser, and includes a refill. The dispenser works fairly well and cuts it off without much effort. As for actually applying this, as a newbie, it was a little tricky to figure out how to handle it. I don't have a lot of experience with it yet although I get the sense that after a few uses you will develop your technique. For me, I struggled with the plastic (which has quite a bit of static attraction) would get pulled into the exposed tape. Fortunately it wasn't hard to release the plastic from the tape and salvage the piece. The tape is fairly thin, about 1/2" of exposed surface which I found mostly adequate, although it is definitely less tape contact surface than we typically work with. The mastic of the tape is "easy release" like many masking tapes which makes it easy to release, but can create some challenge on surfaces that could use a little more holding power like grout.Summary- I found this a bit hard to work with at the start, not sticking as well as I'd like to the wall yet sticking to its self more than I'd like. Once I started to get a method for how to apply it, it did get a little easier. I suspect some of my opinions are more geared toward all pre-taped masking plastic in general and not specifically a drawback of this product. Over all I think the packaging is useful and the product generally does what it should at a reasonable price.

Works great, able to get a straight line. Word of advice, to tear off a piece, rip it off quickly.

It’s what you need for painting

This is a great product and really helps in taping off a vehicle when painting. You don’t want overspray and this makes tape in a breeze and really speeds up the process. Good product, good price.

Great masking tape/film

[Color: 1 Dispenser 2 Refill 22" x 66']
I've used similar masking products in the past, but this version is a step up because it comes with a dispenser. We are using this to stain our deck railing posts, and I absolutely love the extra coverage it provides compared to just using plain painter's tape to protect everything including accidental drips. It even comes with a standalone roll of tape, which is nice for securing the loose ends of the plastic down once it's rolled out.The dispenser itself is decent, though the built-in cutter is just okay. It can be pretty difficult to use in tight corners or smaller spaces because you need enough physical room to get leverage and tear the film off cleanly. In those tight spots, I found it's honestly just easier to use a pair of scissors. Overall, the convenience of the dispenser and the massive coverage advantage make it a great setup for both indoor and outdoor projects. From a value perspective, it's slightly more expensive per linear foot than painter's tape but you get much more coverage overall. So it won't completely replace painter's tape for me, but will be used when I need the extra coverage.
