I would definitely use this in a living room situation where I would probably get lots of unusual comments from my friends and acquaintances while having cocktails.This is a flush-mount ceiling light with curved illumination that extends from the base. It uses LED strips sealed under plastic shades.You can select three color options: 3000° Kelvin, 4500° Kelvin, or 6000° Kelvin. You can also dim the light from 10% to 100% if you wish. This is another ceiling light that I’m looking at that comes with a remote, which is so essential for lights today because people want the freedom to dim their light. As I always tell people, when you dim the light, everyone starts to look betterDoes Little know that this light is so safe for your eyes? The slide installation is easy. The manufacturer suggests you could do it yourself and allegedly gives you clear instructions.If you choose to follow the manufacturer's suggestion and follow his clear instructions as to how to install the light yourself in the ceiling into an already existing US standard junction box, I would ask you to follow the three caveats that I give youFirst, make certain that the power to this junction box has been turned off at the circuit breaker control panel box. The circuit breaker control power box is located in most homes' basements. In some homes, the circuit breaker control panel box is located in the garage, particularly if you do not have a basement.Second, once you believe you’ve turned off the circuit breaker control panel box power to this junction box, take an electrical testing device and a voltage meter and test each and every wire in the junction box to make sure that none of them are still energized. I always use what looks like a red pen, and when you turn it on, a red light comes on. If you put the tip of the pen near a wire that’s energized, it starts flashing and chirping like a bird. That’s an important safety device to have with you when you’re doing electricalThird and finally, I would suggest that you use a wire lock nut to connect the wires together, following the manufacturer's instructions, but the proper way to use wire lock nuts is to make certain that the insulation from the wire you wish to connect is removed. For example, take the black wire from the House service side and the black wire from the fixture. Make sure the last half-center meter of insulation has been removed. Place the tips adjacent in the same direction, cover both tips with a wire lock nut, and turn clockwise until a firm mechanical electrical connection has been established. In essence, it is a conversation piece with a function.It is not assembled when it arrives, so you have to assemble it. However, it is very easy to put together. Installation was very simple and straightforward. We installed the light in less than 30 minutes with no issues.The fixture itself is light to medium weight, and the actual light is smooth to the touch. A remote control is included, which I really appreciate. You can select three lighting temperatures - cool, neutral, and warm. Once you decide on the temperature, you can adjust the light's brightness. What makes this special is that you can control these settings with the remote! I have installed lighting in the past where you have to set the temperature and brightness from the lighting base during installation. This is so much more convenient! The remote also has a timer, which is another plus.Overall, this is a quality light that is affordable and looks amazing.
