Very good quality, the coating is nice color and finish that stays on, a good thickness of the tube you can see. All the balusters were straight and no damage during shipping, very well packaged. Easy to install, just plan it well before you start and take care for your work. Very good quality and value for the money.

These are a really nice set of balusters, especially if you're looking to update a staircase from traditional wood spindles to a cleaner, more modern black metal look. The simple round design looks good without being overly decorative, so they should work with a variety of railing and staircase styles. The 44-inch length and 5/8-inch diameter give you plenty of material to work with and cut to the exact length needed for your installation. I also like the 5/8-inch size—it has enough presence that the balusters don't look thin or cheap once installed.Quality is very good. The galvanized steel construction feels solid, and the black finish is consistent and gives them a much more finished appearance than buying unfinished metal and having to paint everything yourself. I also appreciate that the individual pieces are protected during shipping, which helps prevent them from rubbing against each other and damaging the finish before you even start the project. At $189.99 for 50, they come out to about $3.80 per baluster, which I think is a very reasonable price for a large staircase project. Buying 50 at once also makes a lot more sense than trying to piece together enough matching balusters individually. The included wood bit is a nice addition as well. Obviously, you'll still need to measure carefully and make sure your spacing and installation meet the requirements for your particular staircase, but having the appropriately sized bit included is one less thing to track down.Overall, these look good, feel well made, and provide an affordable way to make a pretty dramatic change to the appearance of a staircase.5 stars. Good quality, attractive black finish, solid construction, and a very good value when you need a large quantity of matching balusters.

If you are looking for a way to update an older staircase without completely replacing everything, these balusters make a huge difference. I’m so happy we ordered these! Going from traditional spindles to the clean black lines instantly gives the staircase a more modern, updated look. The black finish is smooth and gives you that simple matte look that works with so many styles. I especially like that you get 50 in the set because once you start a project like this, the last thing you want is to realize halfway through that you need to order another handful and wait for them to arrive. They feel sturdy without being unnecessarily heavy, and I appreciate that they come individually protected so they aren’t all rubbing against each other in the box and arriving scratched up. The included bit is also a nice touch and one less thing you have to hunt down before starting the project. For a little over $200, this is one of those home upgrades where you can actually see where your money went. It gives a staircase a cleaner, more expensive-looking finish without the expense of replacing the entire railing system. Sometimes it’s the simple changes that make the biggest difference. No concerns with install they were pretty easy and one of the better upgrades I found easy and so pleasing.

These stair balusters are a simple way to give a staircase a clean, modern update. I used them for outdoors and they require a LOT of prep for that so that they don't rust. These are INDOOR balusters so if you are using them outside you definitely have to look it up and research what to do to make that work. The matte black finish has a timeless look that pairs well with everything from farmhouse to contemporary styles. The round design keeps the overall appearance sleek. I like that they feel sturdy and well made, and they provide style and dependable support once installed. They instantly make a staircase look more custom and polished. The finished look is clean and consistent, and they coordinate easily to elevate the space.

When you need a huge amount of balusters this 50 pack is PERFECT and a GREAT value!!!! Compare it to the big box stores and you'll understand! This set of round black staircase spindles is perfect! They are heavy duty tubes that are powder coated with protection. They are made of thick galvanized steel and are strong and won't bend or get nicked easily.I love that each one has a sleeve to further protect it. You literally get a 16mm hole drill bit so you can get going on your project right away!!! You have to have holes drilled into the wood for an easy fit. These balusters are the perfect height for stairs to pass code in most areas. LOVE THIS SET! Again - a great value! Easy to install and look great with their matte black appearance. They feel premium when you are going up and down the stairs and grab them.

Opening this heavy box was a real surprise because I didn't expect fifty pieces of metal to weigh this much. These Hypergiant matte black balusters are definitely beefy and feel like they have some actual substance to them. The galvanized steel construction is evident the moment you pick one up. It isn't that flimsy, thin stuff you see in cheap kits. At 5/8 inch diameter with a 1mm wall thickness, these rods feel sturdy enough to handle daily use without bending or feeling hollow. The matte black powder coating looks great and it has a nice low-gloss finish. I checked the ends of several tubes and they are clean and dark inside which is a huge plus. Usually, you get cheap tubes where the inside is shiny silver and it looks terrible once you install them. These look like they'll hold up well against scratches and fingerprints over time. The physics of the powder coating seems solid too since it covers the entire surface evenly without any drips or thin spots visible to the eye.Installation is straightforward because they included a 16mm flat wood bit in the pack. It's a small detail but it saves me a trip to the hardware store. I tested the fit and the diameter is exactly as advertised. You'll want to make sure you measure your existing railing openings carefully before you start drilling, but once you have the right spacing, these slide into place nicely. The length of 44 inches gives you plenty of room to work with for most standard indoor staircases. The individual clear sleeves are a smart touch for packaging. They prevent the metal from rubbing against each other during shipping so the finish stays perfect. It's rare to see that kind of attention to detail in bulk hardware items. If they didn't have those, I'd probably be dealing with scuffed-up tubes by the time I got them unboxed. These are built for a modern look and they definitely deliver on that simple vertical profile promised in the listing.Pros:Heavy duty galvanized steel constructionMatte black finish looks high end and stays dark inside the tubeIncludes necessary 16mm drill bitIndividual sleeves prevent scratching during shippingGreat value for a 50 packCons:The box is quite heavy so you'll want to be careful moving it aloneOverall, these are a solid investment if you're doing a staircase remodel. The quality is high and the price per unit in this bulk pack makes sense. It's a professional-looking upgrade that doesn't feel like a cheap DIY fix.

The package includes 50 44" tubes, a drill bit and an instruction sheet with two pages. These can be used as balusters or any project that can use steel tubes. Installing these as balusters need accurate measuring, drilling to just the right depth, using epoxy to fix these in the drilled holes and cleaning the excess epoxy. The instruction sheet gives clear steps to follow. I have installed similar type balusters in the past, it is not easy to align them all perfectly vertical and keeping them parallel to each other with uniform gaps between any two adjacent pairs. All drilled holes at the bottom and at the top have to be of same depth otherwise the balusters will not stay between the bottom and top rails. It is a challenge to install but doable with the correct measuring and drilling techniques. Overall these tubes are of good quality but needs patience and good procedural installation steps to pull it off.

Quality painted, true to size. This 50 pack will cover around 18 ft. So most building codes have a maximum of 4 inch spacing between the rails, this is 5/8 inch diameter, so theoretically you can do your hole centers at 4-5/8 inches. I would recommend nothing larger than 4-1/2 inch spacing because if you happen to be off on your hole a little, the next thing you know, your gap is larger than 4 inches. If used on a stairway, you will want to adjust the spacing to fit the stair treads evenly, so the actual spacing may be even less. And of course, when drilling the holes on the handrail, the measurements will be slightly more because of the angle. You will need to cut each one, or most of them to length when used on a stairway and even on a straight railing.Building codes require a railing to be at least 36 inches high when measured straight up from the nosing, or outer edge of the stairs tread. And if your balcony is 10 ft or higher, or a commercial application, that should be a 42 inch high railing. But generally a 36 inch railing is fine for most residential stairways. You may want to check with your local building code if in doubt. This is a DIY balusters, not a complete railing kit. So some know-how is required.Recommended buy
