These were given to a friend who is a flagger for road construction jobs. He loved these! They fit easily over his hardhat and are a great, bright color to make himself seen. They also keep his neck from getting burned during these hot summer jobs. The mesh lets the breeze flow through while keeping the harmful sun rays away.

These hard hat sun shades are not exactly the prettiest accessory, but they do their job well. They provide good coverage around the helmet area and help block sun from the face and neck, which is what matters most when working outside.I like that they are large enough to fit over a good-sized helmet, and they can also work over a baseball cap depending on how you are using them. The high-visibility color is also useful for outdoor work areas where being seen matters.They are lightweight and practical, so they are easy to keep on while working. The design is more functional than stylish, but for yard work, construction, outdoor projects, or long periods in the sun, they are very useful.Overall, they may not look amazing, but they work well and provide solid sun protection.

​I do a lot of outdoor maintenance and gardening work, and wearing this over my hard hat has been a lifesaver for my skin. The plug-in attachment system is about as simple as it gets, taking only a few seconds to secure around the brim without needing to modify anything. It creates a nice, wide perimeter of shade that covers my ears and neck completely.​The material itself is thin but tough, and it hasn't snagged on any branches yet while I've been trimming trees. When I'm done for the day, it rolls up into a tiny bundle and goes right into the little storage bag it came with, keeping it clean for the next use. For a basic accessory, the performance is excellent and it really cuts down on the heat fatigue when you are out under the sun all afternoon.

My wife and I use hardhats when we're looking for unique minerals in hard-rock mine sites, and we frequently need protection from bright sunlight on the back of our necks - additionally we need clear safety glasses for maximum visibility. With the those two needs in mind, these seem like they should fit the bill perfectly for us. These are reasonably durable and well-constructed, and the visor is large and the neck protective mesh is lightweight and with good breathability. They also slip into place fairly easily, so installation is a breeze. Those are the good features,Here's the bad: The biggest problem is these don't have any elastic velcro tabs to grip your hard hat. They slip over the top, and under the visor there is a 'sleeve' or an envelope for the hard hat's plastic visor to slide into. That's it - a medium-level breeze can easily cause the wide brim of the visor to begin to sail away. This 'protective' device could become a distracting hazard on a jobsite. Additionally, it's not particularly compressible (another sun protection solution I has folds down to virtually nothing and stows in the hardhat). This visor is way to bulky to stow anywhere. It's also a bit expensive compared to better-designed options. Lastly, it looks pretty silly when being worn.

This hat accessory can be used with just about any type of hat, not just hard hats. It easily fits over the crown of the head and there is a little pocket in the front where the bill of a hat can fit. This helps keep the hat accessory locked in place. The high visibility colors (of which there are several to choose from) are great for working outside, hiking, walking, boating etc. The neck sun shield in back is long enough and wide enough to do its job well. It also has some reflective fabric sewn in for added visibility at dusk or nighttime. This comes as a 2-pack making it a good value for the money.

This hat shade is great, really. It has increased visibility due to reflective areas at the bottom of the curtain. It is light weight. It has an extra wide brim, so it blocks son to your face from any angle. It has a compartment under the brim for the brim of your base hat to fit into, holding it firm without moving (unless your base hat moves). The curtain has a mesh type of fabric, so it breathes well and does not add heat to your neck on a hot day. The material is strong and not prone to rip or fray easily. I ordered these to use with a standard, baseball style hat, and they work very well. I like them a lot and use them when I'm going to be out in the sun doing yardwork for any length of time (even mowing the yard). I feel that they are worth the price.
