60W LED Canopy Light for Gas Station

I use this on top of a 20-foot pole for lighting at large area of about 500 square feet. The output is enough lumens for security lighting. Indeed, 60 watts into efficient LEDs makes for a lot of photons. The finned cast aluminum housing works well for heat sinking. The IP67 waterproofing is well done, but one does have to add your own installation and lead-in wiring consistent with that ingress protection. The mounting bracket appears to be zinc plated steel and so is not going to be as durable as the rest of the unit. The lens looks to be polycarbonate which is good stuff, but then again it only lasts 5 or 10 years under sunlight or intense artificial lighting before getting yellow and cracked.

As this fixture is intended for industrial applications, like gas stations, in a departure from my usual criteria for reviewing LED lighting solutions, I am not rating this product on the quality of the light it emits (i.e., how natural colors look when illuminated by it). This is out of fairness, as I’ve yet to visit a gas station with high light quality and this lamp is no exception. I will say that while quite bright, I also found it to produce more glare than I was expecting. The build quality on this unit is quite good and the body does a good job dissipating heat (critical to ensure LED longevity). I'm probably not using these for their normal designed and intended use, but they seem to be working great for me. I have an attic that we use as storage above, the garage and the rest of the home. It gets extremely hot up there in the summertime and even though the lights that I had up there before are even rated for damp environments even though it doesn't get damp up there, the thing that is killing them is the heat. You need a light and light fixture that is designed to be outdoors and in high temperatures and direct sunlight. This unit though not intended for addicts, is built in the robust Manor that I need for my attic. It has good heat dissipation and is most likely built with high temperature tolerant components that will allow it to work just fine year over year. Only time can tell for something like that though, but it is certainly bright and well built.

I installed this light under my carport and I’m seriously impressed with how much light it puts out for such a small fixture. The 5000K daylight is bright and clean without that yellow look, and one light easily illuminates my two car carport and a few feet outside of the carport in every direction. I have it mounted in the highest center point of the carport and it lights up the carport area like it’s daytime. The housing feels solid, installation was straightforward, and being IP65 rated makes it a good choice for outdoor use where it’s going to see rain and weather. For a 60 watt light, this bad boy puts out a ton of usable light. Great light for a shop, garage, carport, or anywhere you need serious outdoor lighting without having to ever worry about bulbs.

This overhead LED light comes with everything you need to get started on the installation. The instructions are fairly clear, all the wires are attached well, and the brightness is intense. The description mentions this light being waterproof, so it will be installed in a semi-open warehouse.The quality is good and the value is very good. Don't be taken aback by the smaller size of this light. The measurements are correct on the listing, and the light illuminates similarly to a larger umbrella type canopy light.Pros could probably install it one-handed, but it took 4 hands in my case.

Looks bigger in the pictures but when receiving it was smaller than anticipated but the measurements are correct as they are stated on the listing. Absolutely heavy duty commercial grade light can be used for many purposes. So bright but will attract bugs like flying termites.
