This definitely looks and feels more substantial than a basic hard hat. The full brim gives it that heavy-duty worksite look, and I like the chin strap setup with the magnetic buckle since it seems much easier to deal with than a regular clip.The inside suspension is adjustable, and the listed fit range is 52-63cm. For me, it fits well and not too tight but I definitely feel safe. It also has the design with protection around the top and sides, which is nice to have for something meant for actual jobsite use.Overall, the build quality feels solid/sturdy, and I like the white design with the flag details. Definitely not cheap, but it feels like a serious piece of safety gear rather than one of those flimsy hard hats.

Picked up this Safebuilder hardhat in gray and have been really happy with it. The built-in ratchet knob on the headband makes it super easy to dial in a perfect fit — just turn it until it’s snug, no fumbling with straps or pads. The adjustable chin strap is a nice added touch for extra security, especially useful if you’re moving around a lot or working at height. The gray color looks clean and professional, and the shell feels sturdy without being overly heavy on the head. Easy to adjust, comfortable for long wear, and it stays put. I've been using this hard hat on construction jobs, and overall I'm happy with it. It feels sturdy, fits comfortably once adjusted, and the full brim does a great job of keeping the sun and rain off my face and neck. SAFEBUILDER Type II Hard Hats Full Brim ANSI and CSA Class E,G&C Approved No-Vented Top and Sides-Round Impact Protection Chin Strap with Magnetic BuckleI wasn’t sure I was going to get this. I’ve always wanted one from another manufacturer. I’m not gonna tell you who the other manufacturer is, but it rhymes with nein! LOL. These are very rigid, excellent hard hats for the electrical working person. They’re comfortable with the adjustable straps and look pretty cool when they sit on your head. Though it looks like you have a bigger head than you normally do, and for someone with a big head like myself that’s OK.What’s important to remember about these high-quality hats is that there really is no electrical way to get zapped when you’re wearing these. That’s the whole idea. You’re gonna get good overhead protection from heavy objects that try to fall on your head. Of course if a steel beam lands on it you’re kind of done for regardless! But for all those other hits that aren’t too hard this would be protection very similar to a motorcycle helmet. Except that a motorcycle helmet covers your whole head.You’re gonna notice the difference between this and your cheap $10-15 dollar helmets right away. And if you really want to take care of the ones you love, you’re gonna get this good helmet and not the ones that you keep seeing for practically nothing. You’re gonna be able to wear these all day and not have a headache.But the next thing you’re probably going to want to get with this, because of the brutal Florida sun, is a nice neck shield. It will protect your neck while you’re wearing your hard hat.So you’ve got a Class E hat here. E is for electrical and should protect you up to 20,000 volts, which is interesting—in what way does it do that? So anything below that you’re also protected for. And so this is also, I hope it’s true, American National Standards Institute ANSI. And since we’re not in Canada the equivalent is the Canadian Standards Association or the CSA. But they’re very important safety standards for head protection in North America, so that’s important to know. If it’s not certified or approved then you’re not really going to get the safety that you’re hoping to pay for. And that’s why this thing is nearly $100.They’re gonna see when you look at this that the suspension and the harness are excellent. The adjustable harness to your head—you can squeeze it, not squeeze it—and with the strap on it with the magnetic release. It did take me a little while to figure it out. I’m going to try to find a very special little protective housing like a soft shell case. I want to protect this from getting any damage or scratches or anything like that. This would also be good for people who like to work in trees. These are gonna protect you from that. Again, they’re probably one of the highest standards of helmet protection that you can get in a particular marketing.They say it’s good for up to 30,000 volts for the electrical part. It says no burn-through. But if anything’s coming at you at 30,000 volts it’s going to be pretty hot. And I’d say that would burn through your helmet—but that’s just my opinion and I’m sticking to it.With all this protection they are very lightweight. You’re not going to see a lot of dings and dents as you would with a white helmet. And if you’ve got this expensive one for your loved one in your life they’re going to know it’s theirs. Maybe they can put their own flag on it if it’s not American stickers that they come with it, which are kind of cute.If we ever get a hurricane I’ll be wearing these and safety glasses. And I’ll be out there with my chainsaw helping everyone. Are these a good value? I think the price point is fair.Another thing you might want to get with this is a hard hat liner. Because eventually you’re gonna be sweating and that liner might stink. So if you get a liner of course you can adjust the size of that easily. It’s going to absorb your smell. And if you get like a 4-pack of hard hat liners or more, a couple of them, you’ll be able to just wash them while you wash your dirty clothes from construction. I highly recommend getting a liner. That somebody used to wear a helmet in the military—all you want to do at night is wash your clothes and go to bed, have a beer.

This is a decent full-brim Type II hard hat. The packaging lists ANSI/ISEA Z89.1 and CSA Z94.1 certifications, along with Class E, G, and C ratings for the non-vented version. Having those standards clearly printed on the box is reassuring.The hard hat itself seems acceptable, and the full-brim design, suspension system, and chin strap are all good and function as expected.My main issue is the price. At around $86, this is significantly more expensive than most established name-brand Type II hard hats. I do not see enough here to justify paying a premium for a lesser-known imported brand when recognized manufacturers offer comparable certified protection for less.Overall, this is a decent hard hat, but it is badly overpriced. I would recommend comparing it with established safety brands before purchasing because better-priced alternatives are readily available.
