Quite a pretty fixture, with dual, clear glass lamp shades extending down from the chrome finish. They call the glass style "hammered," creating a bit of a ripple effect. You can see this in one of the accompanying photos. It creates an interesting play of light, especially if used in combination with natural light and shadows, light moving throughout the day.The chrome base has a nice heft to it and is electroplated to resist long-term rust or corrosion in a humid bathroom environment. The kit has everything, the whole assembly, you need to install it.My only dilemma is that the 2-shade bar width is only 14 inches. It simply looks too small, too narrow, to refresh my standard vanity, with an otherwise "standard" fitting. ... I calculated the proposed fit using the industry standard ratio of 75% bar width-to-space (aka "mirror"). Even accounting for a 6-inch clearance on either side, this fixture is a skosh too small. Only when I reread the item description did I see a suggested "12 in to 18 in" measurement for "mirrors"; I missed it because I wasn't planning for a mirror.This item comes in other lamp bar widths, with 3- and 4-light options. One of those will work better for my needs. I'm definitely happy to try one, because otherwise this is pretty and feels like good value.

It looks much more expensive than it actually is.The quality exceeded my expectations, especially considering the affordable price. Everything lined up well, the hardware was included, and it didn’t take long to have it mounted and ready to go. This is a beautiful fixture placement over a mirror. It has two lights and hammered glass shades.14 inches wide and chrome in color, besides using it in the bathroom, you might use it over a Makeup table in a bedroom, or we can put it on a porch over a serving table.This fixture is made from a metal frame, which is electroplated with chrome to resist rust and tarnish. It’s a sconce that complements most bathroom styles. It has hammered glass, which is also ripple.It’s just the right size for a bathroom or powder room, fitting over a mirror. It’s just the right size to fit most 12- to 28-inch bathroom mirrors.It uses the E26 basis. As most of you know, the E26 light base is a standard US American socket that takes A19 bulbs, for which there are literally thousands of different bulbs to choose from, and it’s been used for more than 100 years. The manufacturer recommends using nothing larger than a 60 W bulb to avoid damaging or overheating the shades.Insulation is easier in this picture, which includes an uninstall plate behind the fixture base. But as with all electrical installations, I have to give you three caveats if you’re thinking of doing it yourself.First, make absolutely certain to turn off the power to the picture at the junction box you’re about to begin working on. And the power must be turned off, not just the local switch, but at the circuit breaker level as well. The best way to determine which circuit breaker controls the junction box you wanna work with is to have a friend post at the junction box if there’s already an existing light there that works. And have them in cell phone communication with you as you turn off circuit breakers at the circuit breaker control panel box. And in most homes, the circuit breaker control panel box is located either in the basement or in the garage.Second, once you are sure you’ve turned off the power, independently test again with an electrical testing device or a voltage meter to ensure that none of the wires in the junction box you’re going to work on are still energized. I always carry an electrical test pen whenever I’m working on an electrical project. It looks like a ballpoint pen. When you press the top of the pen, a red light turns on. And nope, the pen comes out to the right, but we put the point of the pen near a wire that is energized, not touching it, just near it, the White Sox flashing, and the device starts chirping, audibly, like a bird. If I put that device near a 240 V clothes dryer line, it shows faster, and the light flashes faster, warning me of the dangerous high current there.Third, let me make sure you know how to use a wire lock nut to connect to wires. Ultimately, you’ll be connecting the House service wire, a black 14-gauge single-strand copper wire from the house, to a 26- to 28-gauge black fixture wire, which is multi-strand copper. Make certain that the last half centimeter of insulation on both wires has been removed. Place a wire lock nut over both tips when they are adjacent and pointing in the same direction, and turn the wire lock nut clockwise until a firm mechanical and electrical connection has been established. Do the same with the white wire and the green wire. The green wire may be connecting to a bare couple wire in the fixture.Once you have made the necessary connections, replace the fixture base over the junction box and secure it to the junction box with the install plate and replace the screw screws necessary with decorative nuts to ensure they are installed directly against the plate and the junction box in the wall. The next thing you should do is take the shade-holding plastic disc from the outside of the E 26 socket, unscrew it, fully place the shade over the socket, and replace the shade-holding disc. Do the same with the other shade, then install the E26 bulbs you purchased separately.At this point, your fixture should be properly installed. If you feel it’s too bright, you may need to install a dimmer switch or use lower-wattage bulbs. When you’re using LED bulbs, even though the manufacturer says you can put up to a 60 W light bulb in these fixtures, 60 W of LED power would be the equivalent of 650 W of incandescent power, a very bright light indeed. The rule of thumb is that 9 W of LED power is equivalent to an old-style 100 W incandescent lightbulb. Keep this in mind when you’re buying your bulbs.
